I don't think Islam can really be reformed because of the unabashed warlike nature of the life of Muhammad, it might cool off for a generation or two as Muslims slip into nominal apostasy by pathologically ignoring their texts and disobeying Muhammad's commands but if any revival movement akin to the Great Awakening ever kicks off shit will hit the fan like you wouldn't believe.
Already I think many of the terrorists in Europe have been born to westernized nominal Muslims meaning even peaceful Muslims can absolutely spawn terrorist offspring, and if you look into history many of the Muslim conquests went in cycles of incredible fervor early on in the movement until society slowly became more secular, passive and decadent before being ultimately replaced by another radical wave of Islamic expansionism.
The self-regulation mechanisms in Islam are just too powerful to be broken imo, ISIS would have probably been the revival movement of the modern age if it had not faced such massively superior western firepower but what if the next wave were to occur from within a modern state like Sweden or Germany? How many lives would it cost to stop it?
They should be preemptively exterminated or at least confined to their desert shitholes to perpetually kill eachother for our amusement.

Think about it this way. These people feel entitled to revenge, so we still have a long fight ahead of us. It’s not about guilt or innocence at this point; it’s about the fact that in order to survive and prosper, we must match and exceed their brutality with our own until they cease to threaten us. If they don’t want to be perceived as guilty, the burden is on them to 1) leave us alone and go back to their homelands, and 2) reign in the elements of their society that want revenge on our society. We cannot have peace until one or both of those things happen. We’re not the ones in the wrong for making the observation that they want to enslave us.
