He had some serious issues with his head imo, wearing only traditional clothes, praising village life, and demonizing everything thats connected to urbanism. He needed right wing allies for his cabinet, so he chose the Guard to be in his government. Together they started to deport and kill the jews and gypsies. But even from a leading position, they did not stop their political assassinations, nor their style of behaving like edgy teenagers, always throwing tantrums and fighting pointlessly, so Hitler summoned the marshall, and told him the Guardsmen have to go. So the Iron Guard governed for less than a year, and got btfo'd by Hitler. I've read "For my legionaries." He was a hero. A fucking European hero. He tried to save us. Warned us, of course. You can read in his book, his notes, all of the symptoms he described in his own times, 100 years ago, i.e the control of the press by the Jews, the organization of the kahal, the slow corruption of the morale of the Gentiles...Everything he lived we are living right now and worse.
It's really fascinating. It's a fascinating story. One of hardships, camaraderie, plot twists, betrayals, faith, political revolution, sacrifice... It's a masterpiece of a book and of a testimony. I firmly believe that his own life, his story, could be made into an amazing movie. One that could rival the best mafia stories there exist.
