You're 40 and still need ID to buy cigarettes but if you're a 5 foot brown aztec you can actualy decide the fate of a country that isn't even yours, no ID required.
>Liberal America
you'd have to be literally fucking mad to think anyone should be allowed to vote without ID
I live in San Francisco. My grandpa died 15 years ago and when I show up to vote, his name is still on the rolls at my house's address.
You have to fill out a form to remove a dead person from a voter list.
sos.ca.gov
> While the NVRA requires that the voter be informed that his or her name will be removed from the list of eligible voters, the NVRA does not specifically require removal. It simply provides that the notice and waiting period procedure outlined above must be followed before removal. Likewise, California law makes removal in this instance permissive rather than mandatory.
Removal of voters is permissive rather than mandatory. lol.
This is why voter fraud is rampant in blue states.
Voter fraud, by individual in a voting booth or by mail-in, is trivial in numbers and effect. The real problem, election fraud (by government officials in offices), can not be addressed by showing ID. Once gerrymandering, voter suppression, black box voting, etc are dealt with voter fraud will easily be seen for a red herring.
Maybe in Republican California. But in Washington State if a person misses an election they are automatically removed from the rolls. Also County Auditors routinely check death certificates.
May I ask why you do not point this problem out to your County Registrar?
shouldn't the ultimate goal be 100% legitimate votes? what possible reason could you have for arguing against that?
Registering to vote requires ID. That is sufficient 99% of the time. Showing ID slows things down and creates other problems to no benefit. And of course there is mail-in balloting, which my County went to several years ago. Also highly effective and cheap.
Welcome to america, where 800 million poo in loos all have ID to vote but thats racist as fuck.
Because 99% is good enough. 100% is not possible, and would probably triple the cost of holding elections if that was the standard (and would fail). As an example, would you really think spending $2,500,000 to catch 15 cheaters was worth the cost/ Especially if you found out that 8 of them were Democrats and 7 were Republicans?
>non americans can show up and ruin their country by voting
>this is actually their system
the american empire everyone
>verifying that a person is legally eligible to vote
>problem
I Canada you have to register, and when comes election time you get an electoral card sent by mail for everyone registered in the household.
To vote, you have to present that card with 1 ID with a picture, or just 2 ID with a picutre. Canada is so racist.
Nooooo what about all the undocumented citizens? Nooooooooooooo.
Who cares?
When women can vote there literally nothing you can do to make a difference.
I've just voted yesterday and I had to show ID
Most native born Americans are in High School when they turn 18 and become eligible to register to vote. Most of them are in High School. All High Schools have at least one teacher who is certified by the County Auditor to register students. Usually at least one student volunteers to help (That would be me. That would be me. I registered virtually my entire Graduating Class). As the School District has access to a Certified Birth Certificate and proof of residence in the County in question registration is fast, cheap, and reliable.
You dumb fuck, its sedition from zog, not a widespread case of the dumb
Fucking idiot
It doesn't bother them at all.
They've switched to using falsified mail ballots.
Traditionally early voters all leaned conservative but now all evidence of that fact is being scrubbed and the media is reporting that mail in voting favors the dems.
No one seems to notice though.
for the 2016 pres election, i showed up to vote and told them i had no ID no voter reg and the fat white lady assumed i would vote for the liberal side so she didn't care and helped me through the process. i'm vietgook by the way. and voted for The Donald
Washington State use to issue a Voter Registration card but stopped doing so as it became obvious there was no point. I no longer go to a polling place, as my county is mail-in, but when i did the process was simple. You go there and tell them your name and address. The county employee checks the list for that County (and sometimes District). If the two match you sign in and vote. Fast and easy.
What State was this?
When does this become law?
in my County, which now uses all mail-in, ballots are verified in public (anyone can attend but must remain silent) and involves several County employees and representatives from the County Republican and Democratic Parties, and the last couple of years the Green Party. Mail-in fraud here is virtually impossible, and would have to involve several dozen people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
>uses all mail-in
Most places aren't all mail in. Some dogs can drive cars but most can't. So why are you using an outlier to try to prove something?
>ballots are verified
What is the exact verification mechanism? How does one discern a fraud from the real thing? How do you know a postal worker didn't just sack everything up in between? A postal worker who came from Russia if that's your thing.
>Mail-in fraud here is virtually impossible
A place where only mail voting is allowed is different from most areas so even if your point was valid its an outlier. Still, explain exactly how this method is infallible. Saying an old fart from the local part shows up tells me nothing.
>would have to involve several dozen people from a wide variety of backgrounds
Give an example and be specific. If you're going to be a statist shill you'll need to work for it.
An effort at disclosure on the mail-in issue. Also it is a recent development and I have first hand experience with both systems.
Mail-ins are mailed by the County to the registered voters address. There is a serial number on this envelope that matches the one on the return envelope. You, the registered voter checks these for a match. if they match you fill out the enclosed ballot and seal it in the return envelope. You then mail it at the Post Office of your choice, hand deliver it to the designated County office of your choice, or drop it in the Ballot Drop Box of your choice. From there they go to the main County Ad Building where they are dumped on a table in a meeting room open to the public, where the outside serial number is checked against a master list and checked off. They are then opened and the ballot inside dropped in a clear plastic box unopened. After the box fills they are dumped out and opened and counted. Also local political Parties participate. Public observers must remain silent.
>An effort at disclosure on the mail-in issue.
Fair enough.
>I have first hand experience with both systems.
You might. Or you might be John Wayne Gacy's grandson grandson typing with the hand of your latest victim. Unless you want to tell me what county you're in so I can verify the system myself I have no way of knowing if what you say is accurate. Additionally any appeals to authority fall flat if I can't verify your experience or credentials so telling me you have experience is pointless unless you want to tell me who you are.
>There is a serial number on this envelope that matches the one on the return envelope.
All right. Who assigns the serial numbers and how do they make those designations? What prevents them from creating extras? Do they use a computer program and if so are these numbers designated to specific voters? If not how would anyone know if they created extra ballots and envelopes to mail in?
>Post Office
That's tricky. How people vote is now easily tied to their geographic location. Conservative and liberal neighborhoods are tightly mapped out. What's to stop a postal worker from just scrapping some of the outbound mail from a liberal or conservative neighborhood? I noticed you didn't mention sticking it in the mailbox. Is that something that the voter can't do?
>serial number is checked against a master list
Tell me more about this master list. Who creates it and how? Are all the ballots that are mailed out included in the list? Are the numbers then correlated to individual addresses? If not then how do you know that the master list is itself valid? What is to stop someone from creating a master list with extra ballots included in it?
