What does Jow Forums think of transhumanism?
Very soon, easily within our lifetimes, we're going to have bionic limbs that match and even surpass human limbs. Eyes will likely follow fairly quickly, etc. Soon we're going to have limbs as a fashion accessory, rich superhuman boomers, mandatory limb criteria at jobs, etc.

I think it's a bright future but it's going to be terrifying too.

I think that you're gonna be drafted into the IDF and watch your friends get killed before you get shot in the face because Israel will be destroyed before Christmas.

le sigh, you'd be easily crushed by an ASI or even the weakest of posthumans. Whoever made that meme is delusional.

Transhumanism will never be a thing because the truth is goign to be exposed and these tech kikes are gonna be hanged for crimes against humanity and treason.

We aren't that close to all this bionic cyberpunk technology. We can't even keep basic implants like catheters and chemotherapy injection ports from being hot spots for infection.

We are already going that way already. Your cellphone is an extension of you.
Your teacher said "you won't always have a calculator" wrong bitch.

You're out of touch with reality.

No we're not.

We have bionic arms that can move with moderate dexterity without needing an open wound though. Like just stick it on your stump.

gen Z gonna take of this transhuman bullshit

It's an impossibility. You are not just your brain, your entire stomach and spine play an important role in cognition and your thiugh processes. We also depend on a host or microbes to be able to function. We are organic beings, and we always will be. It's fansty to think we'll ever be part machine with what we know now about the brain and the microbiome.

I would love to have longevity and transhumanism. The problem is Normie's and NPCs won't get this technology.

Which is the problem, the meat needs to be removed for it to work. Take it far enough and there's only machine.

If transhumanists are okay with that, they must really hate themselves and all of humanity. Not the type of person or ideal worth respecting.

If that happens just plop yourself into a simulation of your favorite fiction, or go out into the universe and eradicate all other life forms that aren't merged with AI.

Full of bugs
Easily exploitable
Crazy overlord can infiltrate anything and fug everybody
Being pushed by tech kikes
Can be used by evil shits to do massive crap on an unimaginable scale
...

Nah that will never happen. We can't upload our minds, we may someday be able to copy them but that is far, far from the same thing. Really I don't want to get into that sort of thing right now because it's fucking depressing and terrifying, keeps me up at night. I just want to talk about cool robot limbs.

Certain parts are very far from being replaced, if ever, but things like limbs are right on the cusp. You're right that you'll almost definitely never have robotic super intestines though.

That's what I'm asking about. I'd definitely replace an eye with an objectively better one, but an arm or leg I'd really need to consider.

Got farraday cage?

>We are organic beings, and we always will be.

There is no proof of that. It is the opposite direction we are going in.

Its more wonderful and horrific than you can imagine
It will not play out the way you think it will

Fair enough. FWIW I see no problem with using bionic to aid the disabled, or improve senses. The longevity thing is a whole other issue, I've experienced the inability to perceive time once and I remember counting an entire year praying the clock would move. It is an unimaginable hell, I stopped counting after a while. Drug induced but if it can be experienced by my brain, it can happen for real.

If you're talking about mind uploads/copies then no no, I fully understand. Overthought myself into a depression recently because of that stuff. It really haunts me. Even if we never achieve it the concepts alone prove how meaningless we all are.
I just want to talk about cool robot arms. My grandchildren's grandchildren can worry about every trait that makes you you being marketed and sold as a downloadable fad, or that markets wouldn't even exist because we would all be identical copy-men after a few months. Just the flat out end of humanity overnight.
Cool robot arms in the meanwhile though.

or you could dedicate your time to the development of technology and exploration of the galaxy

I have bad eyes, bad knees and fucked up my left wrist. I can't wait for the age of transhumanism.

OP is a faggot

you can upload your mind rather simply. the technical feasibility is the difficult part. instead of copy them, you have to replace your nuerons one by one with a machine. once they are fully assimilated, you can hook yourself up to better hardware

eh i have hopes
my eye sight is so fucking garbage, and i dont like having LASIK as my only option

Fucking bring Megalo box to reality
