>start conversation with asian friend about EU censorship >he replies with THIS How the fuck do I respond to this:
>I say to you as to many others as an arbiter, as much as i know you worry about what you believe and what you think an "other side" will do to you, you must remember that they are scared too. This isnt about anger or violence but misunderstanding. >He is downright terrified. He feels that such things are necessary and that ensuring the rule of law is followed to ensure that the true majority has a voice, but fears someone like you, yes, precisely like you, will gun him down in his school and all he loves and cares about. And so his reactions are adverse. He feels he isnt safe, and people who show signs of being right wing make him uncomfortable. >Why i choose to tell you this particular person is because i want to show you the dark mirror. To see the reality of things. Although you believe that youre reasonable in this stance, guess what; he feels the same way about you. So do you know what someone who isnt involved in the arguments and is blissfully unaware? Both of you are radical extremists. The one and the same. Both are hostile, aggressive and hateful. But that in itself is a very narrow view of things, and is one i elect not to follow. >What i see is misunderstanding and fear. Why i offer my support neutrally. And if someome wants my help, i have to start by explaining and showing a simple fact; to you, youre the only sensible person in the world. However, sometimes that view is wrong. That in spite of what you believe in, you are not neutral, nor are you ready to be accepted into the neutral zone. Its a bitter pill, but one that i require all who come to me to take. I gave this similar talk to the other guy and he reacted angrily, as i feel you might.
He threw all his evidence at me of how vicious murderers all those who believe in alternate views are. He felt he was right, and that i was siding with the opposition, that i was an agent of the far right sent to brainwash him. That is when i showed him his reactions, of how hateful he was to me for trying to offer to help him, and how badly it hurt me, someone who never believed in any of what any argument was about and judt wanted to help. I showed him how each piece of evidence hurt someone neutral, and was the social equivalent of shooting a doctor who asked you to put down your gun so he can treat your wounded arm. >He relented, and accepted that his thought process and all his fear of what others might do to him caused harm to innocent people, and actually angered people who in the end might kill him for what he believed in. Today he is fine, no longer afraid of the world around him killing him. He avoids things no longer, and simply accepts that leaving these partisan things behind and electing to, "que sera sera", or what will be will be. Even if he is killed tomorrow by a far right gunman, he will hate nobody, and nobody will suffer because of him. And that fills him with peace. And so am i, for i have taught what i need to for him to go in peace and live where he is as is. >And so with that story, i turn to you, and start your journey. You, need to recognise that what you said in the past few emails, although rational to you, are not founded. They are filled with fear and terror, and that terror will in due time, if not addressed cause terrible things. It will not cause peace that you seek, but only accelerate what you fear. These actions, these articles, these thoughts will cause harm to those you do not intend.
Parker Phillips
>You come to me for counsel; my first counsel is this. You trust and feel i am your friend across the ways, someone who you can turn to. Let me tell you this fact; as a non partisan who is constantly accused of being the enemy from all sides, there is one terrible consequence, direct or indirect of such hostile behaviour. By the sheer fact i harbour people from all walks of life means i will be the first target from all sides. >I know, that this world is not one meant for me or deserves me. I know my time and my effort is limited. I stress and panic each day and my health drops a little more as i give what i have to help others. At this point, i just came back from the bathroom trying to wash away a nosebleed thats leaving me lightheaded. Each statement you make stresses me out even more and breaks my heart with each line. Im dying, giving what i have to help others. So if you find it difficult to let go of the fear and anger, remember that doing so helps me too. And know the simple fact and reality that my mental psyche is very damaged. And that if you push too far, it will kill me. It will kill the person who you come to seek. I will not sugar coat it. Someone who did seek my counsel too and pushed too far did almost do that. By the sheer force of betrayal and words, i fell ill. I was sick for a week and felt miserable and suicidal. >Before you ask, both sides have done this to me; so yes, someone with similar beliefs to you, in their conviction to defend their thoughts caused me great harm and disstress, until i got physically and mentally ill. >So the first step if you truly accept it, is to let go. To stop mentioning all the things you feel a government or a country or a people is doing. Stop reading about it. Stop referring to it. Let go. Stop the harm youre causing me, and stop the fear that resides in your heart. Do not let that fear control you. You can master it and avoid it. Let it stop, and then we can proceed.

your friend sounds like a weak, sad pussy. get new friends

What sort of conversation is this? My asian friend isn't offended by my views. I just hate the EU and that's that.
James Morgan
>Both of you are radical extremists. HOLY SHIT, what a cucked NPC. Call the developers and have him removed from the game immediately.
Lucas Adams
Learn to write jesus christ what you just typed is unreadable I did not even finish it,and dont abuse green text ,green text is harder to read.
Caleb Scott
I can't tell if this is offended or not. I've never seen him or anyone else get like this before. I asked him what he thought of the EU censoring memes and taking Hungary's right to vote away, and it was all >"I am the monk on a monastery of neutrality! I ask you, you must put aside your prejudices, just as I asked a lefty the same! He feared believing in the rule of law meant you wanted to publically execute him!" I'm seriously not making that last part up. I openly fucking said, "How do you get from 'The law should benefit the people and not the 1% and it should be enforced equally regardless of race or financial status to public executions?" and he replied with this "I say to thee as an arbiter!" shit.
Jose Sanders
Don't tell anyone but I use a dark browser extension for firefox that turns the backgrounds black on this site, and it turns all text white. I know it's "Greentext" if it starts with a >, but my shitty eyes can actually read it this way. Seriously, soft forest green on peach pink, who thought of this?
Jonathan Thompson
He needs alcohol desperately.
Chase Baker
Shit, forgot to > that first line.
Evan Williams
Your friend has made no choice, though I think he quietly leans more towards one direction than another.
Ask him questions, man. Ask him when it is okay to censor people. Ask him when pushing draconian shit like this becomes too much, and how will they not cross a line. Ask him what he thinks should be censored and why. Ask him why lefties are afraid. Ask him what lefties are fighting for, and remind him that the shit lefties are fighting for was on the very small fringes of western counterculture fifty years ago. Ask him if the slippery slope is a supposed fallacy, then why does it seem so real with gay marriage, and now the muddling of what it even means to be man and woman, and how now children are being groomed in this and there is even noises of proving pedophilia.
Ask your friend the toughest questions you have asked yourself

Your friend needs an open handed slap in the face immediately followed by a kick to the nuts

Can someone translate it into readable English?
William James
Too much then he goes into a retarded fit. NPC's cannot handle this much.
Aiden Turner
NPCs sorry.
Asher Turner
Sure. >"I say to thee, you must calm your tits! I once knew a leftist who was as scared as you! You must both calm down and meet in the middle! I feel very bad and physically ill when people argue at me and insult me, by the way. I am a neutral cool kid like a red cross doctor or badass monk in a monastery on a mountain, and you should also be one!"
Leo Gutierrez
Wtf, English isn't your first language is it?
Asher Russell
I wish we could paste this post and show it around.
Because it makes a lot of sense.
Joseph Sullivan
>Don't tell anyone but I use a dark browser extension for firefox that turns the backgrounds black on this site, and it turns all text white So basically just the Tomorrow theme, then.
Charles Rivera
If he can't give you an honest opinion he's not worth your time.
Jonathan Cook
Excuse me, son, I don't speak rude girl. Can you say what you really mean clearly?
Gabriel Nelson

William Green
>We have to use physical violence, to stop words, to stop physical violence Tell your friend he's a retard operating on emotion and is only going to make things worse since all this is doing is closing discourse and justifying perceptions.
Anthony Harris
>How the fuck do I respond to this:
Never talk to him again. Only read a bit of that wall of text, but he seems like a textbook "I call myself a centrist because it lets me feel superior to everyone simultaneously" type. On top of that, asians are genetically incapable of challenging the status quo, so there's no point in trying to change his mind.
Thomas Torres
>The important thing is that I may feel superior to all involved without holding convictions, taking action, or doing anything at all to earn it
>He is downright terrified. He's the one that's creating the atmosphere by being in the country. When will you realize diversity does not work?
Aaron Powell
I have a dark screen and green text, and no matter what colour my time has been wasted with that verbal diarreaha of an op
Julian Moore
Tell him "TL;DR, quick run down?"
John Barnes
Quick run down of the shit he said: >"I say to thee, you must calm your tits! I once knew a leftist who was as scared as you! You must both calm down and meet in the middle! I feel very bad and physically ill when people argue at me and insult me, by the way. I am a neutral cool kid like a red cross doctor or badass monk in a monastery on a mountain, and you should also be one! All you political people are far-whatever and you're TEARING ME APART, LISA!"
Cooper Clark
What a crock of shit. I'm not scared, I'm angry at people who can't accept reality and the idiots who enable them because they think facts can be compromised on.
