I broke my foot once drinking one night. Showed up at 9am the next morning in emergency waited till 5pm for an X-Ray with no pain meds (not even aspirin) that took 5 minutes. Needed surgery, waited another week for that, they said they were sorry at least.... Anecdotes are anecdotes...

It's not a perfectly functioning system I grant you that but it often depends where you are and which hospital you went to.

In Toronto there was a notoriously bad hospital overused and abused by the third world "best and brightest" who infest the area. I know because I had been there several times to visit people. It had also been listed as one of the worst hospitals in the city. It's closed now but had I gone there I'm certain my experience would have been for the worse.
