Even during the Cold War, Europe still held a massive percentage of the world's GDP and population. Never since the Dark Ages has the continent experienced such a downturn in global significance as we can observe now. Greed and envy seduced the plebs to support forming the EU as we know it today. What they got in return is a stagnant economy and millions of shitskins. I knew that the "project" was destined to fail from the beginning. You can't form a federal government on greed and envy alone even if it manages to provide a better economy and a higher standard of living. The U.S. succeeded where the EU failed because there were far fewer cultural and language differences among the states.
