Why are so many Americans of mixed raced heritage so ashamed and angry about themselves? You can tell this by conversing with them and reading between the lines, there seems to e a lot of resentment and self-hatred inherent within them. On a personal level, I find this very sad, but it seems to be a symptom of American society as a whole. American society seems very superficial to me, people seem to be based on their looks and appearance not their personality and character and I think this causes a lot of neurosis in American people, especially people of mixed roots. Americans don't seem to have a real identity, their identity is shaped by the things they buy and consume. It is a very sad state of affairs. I think this leads to anger and explains why there is a high level of violence in American society.
It's sad, America is a country that was once thought of a place where anyone could make it with hard work, that image is long gone. It is now a place of superficial, consumerist drones without any sense of cohesive identity. I can understand the anger and self-doubt many mixed-raced Americans have.
Multi racial people tend to carry a lot of identity issues for obvious reasons. Mulattos especially. They are almost always the loudest, cringiest tryhards when it comes to exuding “blackness.”

You can? Much of it seems to be Jow Forums's interpretation. I live in a 98% white community, according to the census. Still, my kids' classes aren't exactly uniform. The mixed kids don't get any attention for it that I have seen. The variation in nominal whites is too great to make the muddy kids particularly noticeable.
