"Historically authentic", by contrast, is a lessor thing. Some things are accurate, but many things have been transposed to suit: that army may have fought further south, the battle was fought during the day not the night, there were known to be only 10,000 troops involved, not eleventy hundred. Example: TW Battle of Culloden between Canadians and Americans because I mspainted the flags they carried.
