What's happening right now is that due to tariffs and instability, investment is flowing back into the workforce and infrastructure, whereas it had been flowing out since the late '80s because it's put a large portion of the investment schedule out of bounds.
The other thing that's helping is despite what the demoralization shills will say, the US has cut immigration rates pretty significantly under Trump, which is leading to increased wages and forcing companies to invest in their workforce instead of just interchanging 1 skilled guy with 10 illegals.
And, as much as this statement is going to rile up the corporate cucks on this board, raising the minimum wage has helped, because it's sucking away talent at lower levels and forcing companies in other areas to raise wages to stay competitive.
Will it last? Who fucking knows, there are so many variables that it's pretty much all unknowns. Debt levels are through the roof, but with an economy this strong we can handle a bunch of it going bankrupt. Serious structural reforms such as breaking up the big banks and other oligopolies haven't happened, so sometime soon we'll slip back into recession given that nothing else changes.
