1. Pistol rounds do not incapacitate immediately unless they hit the brain or brain stem/spine. Even if they nick an artery or the heart, it will still take time for a coked-up mongoloid to lose enough blood to be incapacitated.
2. The rule in Texas is not "shoot until you see them fall"; it's "Stand your ground". There are plenty of instances of people standing their ground, shooting to kill, and walking, because the circumstances dictated it and they had reason to believe their lives were in danger.

This all comes down to how good the defense attorney is, and the specific circumstances of the court proceedings. Doubt the guys will take a plea though.

The biggest problem is they left and got guns. If they already had the guns, they could claim they were acting in self defense and feared for their life. But, because they were able to leave and get guns instead of calling the police they were brandishing firearms in a threatening manner. They obviously didn’t fear for their lives in the video and could have backed away at any time. It wasn’t a good shooting. They could walk with the right jury if they don’t plea out but that isn’t the way to defend yourself with guns.

Things that work in their favor is that the other guy also didn’t back down, the other guy threatened to kill them, the other guy approached them in a threatening manner, and the other guy threw a bat.
