So i have looked into it a little again and found some things. The germans had something called "Sonderaktion 1005" which was an operation to hide the bodies of those killed. They dug up the graves and cremated the bodies and put their bones in milling machines before transferring the ashes to another location. It was Reinhardt Heydrich who was in charge of this, and he was also in charge of Operation Reinhardt which were commisioned to kill 11 million people.
Also, about 20% of those who were in the freighttrains died of suffocation or thirst. also many more methods than the camps they used to kill, shooting them on the spot was common some places, either by partisans or regular soldiers. There are no evidence of graves or bodies in Auchwitz, but there are large mass graves in Belsec and other camps.
So what is the validity of the denial of this? Well wikipedia says that about 2.2 million people perished in the camps, while the remaining number died outside of it. Wheter this true, or that they were killed on purpose or accident is unknown, but there are certain indications that the nazis really killed jews, disabled and homosexuals. Is this relevant or not for the big picture of the war i'm not certain, and i think most of the killed jews were killed by the soviets which put the blame on Germany. But i feel like "The greatest story never told" and the accounts of David Irving leave out relevant details from the discussion on purpose? What i see is the accounts of numbers is ranging from low to very high -estimates-. So what is the real story?
