Sup Jow Forums, is it a good idea to move to Canada? I’m 19, first year student in a university, was thinking about applying to a canadian colledge next year (in Ottawa). I’m not rich, i work part time as a RUS-ENG translator/interpreter and i do barbering for men.
How are the prices? Do canadians like ruskies? How easy is it to migrate and get citizenship?
I’d like to move to US, but it’s much more harder than moving to Canada (so i heard). My dream is to settle down somewhere in Texas/Michigan
move to the usa it's much easier canada has a lot of restrictions about how long you can stay, and even if you can stay, you need to prove without a shadow of a doubt that you'll be gainfully employed and contribute to the canadian economy, otherwise you're not welcome.

I used to live in Ottawa it's very pretty, but also very white collar as such the jobs are either high class high education or service industry. Though the service industry makes a lot of money there because people can't even change their own oil, and they have a lot of money. It's boring though in terms of city nightlife and half french.

Ottawa is fine. It isn't the most exciting city on the planet but the place is pleasant enough. If you are skilled enough to get a job you could do worse. It's silly to ask this sort of thing on-line though, because only you can know what you will find pleasant. Try to visit some potential places personally, it's the only way to get a feel for a place.

Generally, Canada has a pretty good standard of living and a pleasant way of life, but it certainly doesn't offer the culture of comparable places in Europe. It depends on the lifestyle you enjoy.
Personally, I'd prefer Victoria, BC... but the job market probably isn't as robust. Ottawa has a lot of government jobs and also a reasonably good technology sector.
But I suspect this matters not, and this thread is a bait thread to discuss milk prices. If you are looking for dirt cheap dairy, you need to go to the US. Or buy yourself a cow.
