Lets have a genuine conversation on psychedelics pol, Try and keep it civilized. No "drugs are degenerate." Instead explain why they are. No "psychs make you a enlighten hyper being" instead explain why they do. Lets have a solid constructive sit-down boys.
Questions to start off:
-is the psychedelic experience beneficial to everyday life?
-is what you see real?
-is there a "too much"?
-is it the "tru-pill"?
-share some experiences.
-share some personal beliefs

nice try fbi
you'll never find the LSD I keep in the bottom of my cat's litter boxes

It's not beneficial and really a waste of time in today's society. I mean if you want to do it just to enjoy yourself then just do it and compare it to playing bingo or listening to music. Don't try and rationalize it as a useful tool because it's not.

>drugs are degenerate.

This thread comes up so often I almost think it deserves its own general thread.

They're definitely interesting. But we have bigger things going on in the modern world tbqh. Do them or don't, just remember to focus on gassing the kikes

I feel like psychs are really over-hyped as if they'll give you some grand insight into your life.
They can for some people, but overall, it's not something that everyone needs. Personally, I started letting more love in my life since I had psychs, but before that I was an edgy kid anyway.

>is what you see real?
I want to believe in the whole "DMT is released in the brain when you die" rabbit hole because when I tried it, I had felt this feeling of "home" that was really familiar but at the same time completely foreign, but at the same time, I don't really believe that anything you see on psychs is real.

The FBI must be bored tonight..

There's been a few research studies that show it brings new understanding to difficult situations. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/0269881116675513

I don't know if i want to subscribe to the belief that what you see is real, however i do find what i learn to be helpful either way.

I have for the most part been going with the idea psilocybin in high enough doses allows for the experience of consciousness without the filters normally present within one's mind which create the abiding sense of individual distinction from one's surroundings thus experiencing existence as a fully unified feature of the whole. This was the most profound and lasting impression from all my many and often very large true psychedelic doses.

In a manner this was like a rebirth which may be why studies are being done with terminal patients who report losing anxiety about dying. There is some manner of pure consciousness experienced in this state which occurs beyond the mental plane without one's egoistic framework accumulated throughout one's life.

LSD cured my depression
That's all I can really say on the matter

No, no, yes, no,
Experience: observing your consciousness as your brain is skewed by a drug can be useful to better understand consciousness/how your brain operates while sober, but its a path fraught with peril and the usefullness of it is massively overstated by addicts looking for a kick

psychedelics cause permanent changes in neural cell receptor structure -- ive had a few patients who were druggies and by age 50 had developed neurological disorders similar to parkinson's disease

I honestly believe DMT is a look into the afterlife and I think it could be beneficial to people who are going through a spiritual or existential crisis or who are afraid of death. I don't really think other drugs have much value, though I've heard mushrooms can help with depression.

Psychedelics are far from degenerate and should be classified otherly from typical street drugs like methamphetamine, heroin, etc. Psychedelics are in fact extremely useful tools best used by those who are prepared to fully-digest their power.

50 bucks says you're an emt or cna. no one w/ any knowledge of parkinsonisms would believe this

Addicts? Only an NPC could ever be addicted to a psychedelic; take a high enough dose and you will want to keep away for months, even years. The potential for abuse is extremely low, even I myself space out the psychedelic experience(s) in time scales of years. Yes, years.

was it one trip that did it? how many hits? was it microdosing?

Shut up the fuck up OP, and answer me:
THIS IS THE FUCKING COVER FOR 10,000 DAYS
WHEN IS TOOLS NEXT FUCKING ALBUM
FUCK

Sorry but this is why drugs are degenerate, you have shit questions.

Let me give you some

"Can psychedelics be used as weapons?"
"What functional use could administring psychedelics to people have?"
"How can one direct, suggest, and alter the thematic effects of psychedelics on other people?"

My brain is shit enough, I'm not going and putting holes in it just to see melting colors.

you don't read very well - i stated "neurological disorders similar to parkinson's disease"

choreiform athetosis, tardive dyskinesias and the like

see you in the nursing home, soon

> melting colors
Youre actually retarded, dont bother with psychs just kys

>is what you see real?

no, if something exists only within your mind then it's not real
how much of what you see when sober is real?

just vape some Ashwagandha root bruh

If the path to self actualization is represented by a mountain you must climb, psychedelics are a helicopter. A trip can give you insights about how to climb and the paths you should take, but it isn't the same as climbing and reaching the top yourself, and the helicopter ride always ends.

keep them out of your body, be pure.

I don’t know about mind altering drugs but I do know about sleep paralysis and waking terrors. Sleep on your left side, it adds pressure to heart. Fall asleep while looking through a doorway or archway. Your eyes can see through eyelids to a very small amount, the extra depth perception of the image keeps your brain active to a point. When you wake up you should be able to look around without being able to move. If you put a Halloween mask on a chair past the doorway that mask will come to life. Fun times

t. not a psychonaut

wut

open the mind to unclean spirits, bad news

fucking retard who probably still buzzes off cigarettes

Psychedelics are basically a helicopter tour of the spiritual landscape.

Truly liberating insight is best gained without them, but they are a great way to get people interested in the deep, powerful presence of life they so often overlook.

Everything you see and experience through your mind is a hallucination. It's an interpretation of reality you've created which has its usefulness for survival but it's just your own creation. Every realization you feel you have on psychedelics is only another thought and illusion keeping you from the truth. If you take psychedelics too much the brain will lose its meaningful structures due to hyperconnection and it will cripple the mind. It may seem entertaining, creative, and profitable for awhile but after awhile it will become evident this randomness is not useful to life or healthy. If you keep pushing it, the brain will eventually lose all sense of reality and ability to function in the world.

It's better to pray with devotion in quiet fervor or meditate. Once you become aware of the source of thoughts you can shut off your imagination factory that you've mistaken for reality and only turn it on when necessary. For some people a psychedelic experience within a proper atmosphere may help them realize their experience of reality is not reality itself and how to quit creating their own mental misery, but this can also be realized through prayer and meditation without side effects.

Psychedelics are a way for NPCs to think beyond their normal programming.

You can’t generalise psychedelics. LSD has different effects than shrooms. Both can fuck you up and cause depression, anxieties and disillusionment, but also they can cure the same things. Positive and negative effects have a tendency to wear off after a few months due to brains neuro plasticity. The dangerous thing is when the damage happens permanently. And you never know when will it happen. If you ever experience the feeling that your trip will never end and start pondering how you will be stuck tripping for the rest of your life during the trip, never do psychedelics again. It is a dreadful feeling that will become stronger and stronger each time you trip until you develop HPPD. HPPD can be visuals only, bit it can also affect emotions and that is where you know you fucked up big time. Please be careful.

I’ve had DXM once since it’s easily accessible, I only hit 2nd plateau and it wasn’t beneficial to me but I’m planning on giving it another shot.

I also had a huge dose of spice though (I don’t think it’s a psychedelic but it sure feels like one) because some lowlife dealer told me it was marijuana. It was the worst experience of my life but that day I discovered nihilism. I still remember that experience and it drastically changed the way I think or make important decisions.

I don’t believe that what you see is real, psychedelics in my opinion show you and makes you think about the philosophical concepts that you know and it’s up to you to believe them or not, I’ve yet to try DMT but this is what I believe for now.

Meditation increases gamma waves by a huge margin

I've seen and experienced things on psychedlics when I was a kid that still make me think to this day. All day everyday I have existential thoughts, not ones filled with fear, but just thoughts. Thoughts on if there is a purpose, or if our lives are just a distraction for a greater being. Like how I try to distract myself with carnal pleasures to distract myself from existential thoughts.

I’m 40. I’ve tried most drugs. The only ones i ever do now are alcohol and weed. I would possibly trip on shrooms again.

see the whole loop, you know?

No it really isn't. light psychs like shrooms or acid is just shiny colors for them, which is fine, but salvia or dmt will just scare an npc and make them not touch it again.

Psychedelics are really nothing, everything exists within your own consciousness.

You have over done them. Psychedelics are known to cause excessive amount of thoughts about existentialism that could lead to suicide.

depends on the drug

i believe in the shroom meme, aka the fact that shrooms share like 95% of our DNA and hold really deep biological connections with us that can come out in really strange ways

same with DMT, obviously our body naturally produces it during dreams and shit

pure "fun" drugs like cocaine and shit are useless

Concentration, not meditation, increases gamma waves. When I talk about meditation I'm talking about a quality of seeing everything just the way it is, not a technique.

Perhaps, but I know for a fact I will never kill myself. Even if im in a jam facing life in prison I would never suicide.

-is the psychedelic experience beneficial to everyday life?
not really
-is what you see real?
yes it's just a different frequency that we're not attuned to, at least not while we're conscious
-is there a "too much"?
yes, try to smoke an entire gram of DMT, you won't be able to
-is it the "tru-pill"?
no it's just for the exp
-share some experiences.
smoked DMT all the time, higher and higher doses, way past heroic doses. last trip was different, it was more real or more based in our everyday reality anyway- and there was a woman who looked like an angel and told me that i come too often, and i shouldn't come back. i have not smoked dmt since that day.
-share some personal beliefs
don't fuck around, it can be profound but also worthless, it won't realign your perceptions too much since you still need to get by in "this" world, but it'll definitely change how you feel about your time here. i say do it if you're comfortable, but if you suddenly feel uncomfortable, remind yourself that it's merely a microcosm of life itself, and that you never really had any control in the first place.

>-is the psychedelic experience beneficial to everyday life?
Yes
>-is what you see real?
(Define real) Yes
>-is there a "too much"?
Yes, think you can fly accidents
>-is it the "tru-pill"?
The best don't come in pills

I understand what you mean.

They need to have a stigma attached, from right and left, in order for people to discover them for themselves, and realize how powerful and indescribable they are.
Theyre not for everyone. No society can run on a bunch of people who have seen god. Theyre are genuinely useful for artists, depressed people, PTSD cases, suicidal people, in controlled settings. Probably this will be realized and legislated within our lifetimes. But for now, theres no use advocating for them, most people will not experience them and lump them in with opiates/stimulants/depressants.

A note to anyone who wants to do them - dont do them at a party, concert or around strangers. Be with friends in a safe and relatively isolated place, and don’t panic, it will not last forever.

Benadryl makes you hallucinate spiders if you take 12 .

Good fun for music festivals where you can run around and do that. Never really found much interest bringing that experience home with me.

Drugs fuck with your brain. Your brain is important. It makes the the thing go. No do drugs.

Incredibly based

Well, I've found it good when I'm in a rut. I also do think higher doses are better. It seems like at medium doses my mind and the chemical are fighting, and it's better for everyone if the chemical has its way and the only option is to "go with it".

As far as being the "tru-pill", who knows? It's certainly good for anyone to experience just how contingent their perception of reality is, though.

>Truly liberating insight is best gained without them,
pic related

>Both can fuck you up and cause depression
I think the important thing is to not take them when you're too young. At least wait until you're in your mid to late 20s.

If I have a negative experience it's either something I need to spend some sober time integrating, or I need to trip again, harder and get it right. As far as some of that phobia stuff, have a sitter or something if you're that much of a pussy.
