I attended Yale where I was studying law, and with two girlfriends we attended a bar one night and had an encounter with a man that I now understand to be Brett Kavanaugh, as well as his friend Mark Judge. While outside on the street, a clearly inebriated Brett Kavanaugh made several fumbling remarks towards me of a disrespectful and sexually inappropriate nature. When we attempted to move away, Brett Kavanaugh physically assaulted me, grabbing a hold of my arm and my blouse, placing his hand onto my genitals and grasping the fabric. At that moment, I pulled away to escape. My blouse tore, and I went home for the night very shaken and traumatized. I have carried this with me until now, and aside from my friend who was with me at the time, I have told no one. But I have kept that blouse in a box with my old things and still have it to this day. After finding it, I discovered it has a smudge on it where it tore. I would be willing to submit this into evidence for the Senate Judiciary Committee. But I've been watching the news and reading online about the atmosphere surrounding these hearings and cannot endanger my family by coming forward.
