Prohibition

Are liberals bringing back the temperance movement? They're losing their minds over an 18-year-old drinking beer in high school. Will we live to see another round of the Roaring Twenties?

If your general attitude towards alcohol wasn't so fucked you wouldn't have so many alcoholics.
Raising the legal drinking age from 16 to 18 in my country was a mistake.

>shall not touch ours
Yeah im fine with that.

these women are 1:1 recreations of the pussy hats

Quick! Hand me a bottle!

>meanwhile most liberals are underaged and doing hard drugs

Really makes you think.

Alcohol was the mistake. Literal piss in a bottle that destroy your body. Most drugs are actually less damaging than the liquid jew.

Oh and before you low iq retards read this and think I'm for drugs, no. It was a mere illustration of how bad alcohol is. Drugs are also degenerate.

temperance was a radical movement started by ex-suffragetes, who in turn were following the abolitionists. The radical left in this country has always been led around by insane dog faced women.

Nah, it has its roots in Protestant ethics. We also had that shit, just not in this radical form.

>Lips that touch liquor
>shall not touch ours

I don't see why the government should have to intervene when alcoholics are just simply slaves to their own lack of self control. Its not the taxpayers job to help people who can't help themselves

>Women get the vote
>Vote in prohibition
>Usher in over a decade of gang wars over booze
>People locked over beer

Women's right to vote should have been repealed with prohibition.

Well technically its not too late. There's still women around. They can vote. They vote. So we can take it all away. Just saying.

Abolitionism and temperance may be linked but they are opposites. The right not to be a slave or property is for giving more freedom. Banning alcohol is for giving less freedom. I can separate these things as a classical liberal. My biggest value is freedom.

Maryland is old puritan land. The morality stayed, thry just stopped praying.

>Taking freedom away from half the population in the name of freedom

Left and right don't work for the USA. Otherwise rednecks wouldn't march side by side with southern aristocrats during the civil war.

There are puritans, quakers, planters and borderers. The religion may be gone but morality is still there.

Yes. With the female block in voting they increase the size of government and the programs it does "for" the people thus it will also need to tax the people more to pay for those programs and people it hires. Not only that trying to crack down on our civil liberties, like our speech or ability to arm ourselves.

Just because we revoke their privilege to vote doesn't mean they cannot enjoy freedom of expression, or religion, or being armed, or the government not having the ability to spy on its citizens or just kick doors down without warrants, being innocent until proven guilty, and so on.

Women should never be allowed to vote. Look at what happened to the western world due to it.

You know, the infamous second edition of the KKK campaigned for prohibition

Liberals simply believe the logical opposite of whatever Trump believes at any given moment, and only deeply enough or long enough as is useful to fight him. Any prior political opinions are subordinate.

Voting isn't freedom. Voting is power. If they vote to have their freedoms and liberties taken away, maybe they shouldn't handle power.
