There are a lot of ways this can go now. 1.McConnell says no to requesting an FBI investigation and moves it to the floor anyway 2.McConnell requests an FBI investigation, Trump says no 3.McConnell requests an FBI investigation, Trump asks the FBI to go get a written statement from each witness and passes that back to the senate and then the vote is held. This can be done in a day or two. There is no danger here at all.

If this whole thing really will only take a week, and produce nothing because this is not the FBI's job,then Democrats will still find reason to vote no.
