I wouldn't be there all the time, but this is sort of what I'm trying to figure out. Not sure when I would live there.

It's been explained to me as The Hamptons of Denmark, which is cool with me. I'm OK with rich people. They're better than most alternatives.

There's places like this in the states, but they tend to get overrun with all kinds of riff raff in the summer. Skagen was described to me as one of these places, but it's almost exclusively wealthy Skandis in the summer, and not as overcrowded.

Well, the rich people there have like 1-2 weeks out of the year where they all coordinate and go there at the same time. Sounds pretty cringy, but it's what they do. I was there at the same time at as them at one point - never seen so many expensive cars at one time (and that says a lot here since we tax the fuck out of car purchases.)

But trust me, outside the season it's fucking DEAD in Skagen - nothing happens.

Dude, look it up on google maps. Skagen is a legit small town. It's basically just a bloated fishing village that looks nice in summer, and people rave about the natural lighting being different there than most other places - hence why many painters go there to paint, at least historically.
There's really no comparison between the two.
