Where the fuck are 20 year olds?

Over the last few years I've tried multiple hobbies and activities. Be it airsoft, firing range, martial arts, amateur drama, swimming pool or gym. The common theme among all of them is the odd lack of 20 somethings partaking in those activities. Maybe one or two will show up occasionally but other than that everyone is 35+. What thehell is going on, Jow Forums? Has anyone else noticed this trend?

They are too busy being degenerates.
Clubbing is their "hobby".

im in my 20's and i feel the same way. they
haven't "settled down". i tend to relate more to older people.

Fpbp

Social media and clubbing are the thing now. Pretty sad but to each their own

I see a lot of 20 somethings every time I go to my local game shop to play warhammer.

Inside playing video games and shit posting on Jow Forums. Duh.

>i tend to relate more to older people.
oh fuck me, this is exactly how I feel these days

Wouldn't surprise me, but I'd imagine there would be some still left not doing that shit and enjoying other hobbies, right?

Unfortunatelly there's no such places anywhere in my area. There's some comic shop but all they do is talk capeshit all day

I do that too but I also leave the house, surely I'm not the only one

I have friends and shit, but I guess I'm an outlier. I work graves, so I don't do too much of anything. I play video games and shit post on Jow Forums.

They’re all in their phones. Pretending to have lives.

They're playing video games or just don't need to have a hobby to socialize with people. Also, hobbies cost money and if you're in your 20s, chances are that you won't have much money unless you're a drug dealer or a whore and aren't into those things because of drug debts.

Literally 20 and I'm in the Army. Sorry, guy.

this. either that or playing video games.

i was training for a backpacking trip for about 6 months, and a few times I asked my group of friends if they wanted to go hiking.
>if there's no wifi, I'm not going
>there's no AC, so I'm out
>check it out guys, got my iPhone X with airpods! el oh el! user still uses a blackberry!
society is shit, I'd rather be a mountain man. your personality is judged by what phone you use, since most people are incapable of thinking about anything else.

Play an actual sport

weed, media addiction, and poor guidance. my parents encouraged me to do all sorts of stuff in my youth so i developed a wide set of interests. i've noticed this trend too, OP. it's disheartening.

I was thinking about that but I'm not much of a sports guy and secondly it would interfere with my job, honestly

t. Early 30s
Yes, backpacking and camping is rare to find in anyone under 35, sadly. I love the fuck out of the outdoors and can go without (((progress))). Id have a hard time doing it with friends even if they could. Theyd bug the shit out of me. I like running across people on the trails

21 year old here. People here have pointed to clubbing and degenerate shit like that but that's the easy simplistic boomer answer. Most young people who go out clubbing are the most common who have hobbies like going to the gym or doing "amateur drama." More so imo, the obvious answer is the prominence of the internet, social media and all other related technologies that has caused a large part of our generation to essentially stay in doors. Why go out and watch a movie and participate in a film society at university when I can sit on my ass at home go on Netflix or pirate a movie? Why go out and socialize when I can participate in online discussion? Why go out and get shitfaced drunk on the weekend and spend shitloads on overpriced food, entry fees and bullshit when I can stay home and play video games? A majority of the people my age have similar logic to this. Most of the people I know rarely go out. For most, it's uni/work/stay at home, occasionally gym for some. Beyond that, there's probably a bit more going on at an economic and cultural level that someone smarter could argue.

we're in our late twenties. hell, the other day they said
>in 10 years i just want to be able to sit on my couch and play video games
that's all they spend their money on. well, that and smartphones.

the people i actually did go on the backpacking trip with are like me and would rather live inna da woods. we were in bumfuck nowhere Idaho, filtering water and finding shelter. only people for miles.

It makes sense to me too, however I'd really like to meet new people to actually spend time with since I've fallen out with all my school friends a while back and didn't really meet anyone new

I love to hunt, camp, lift weights, guess my age

I do that kind of stuff with my friends but going anywhere by yourself seems gay and stupid to me

I'd unironically do stuff like this

I live in London and I've noticed that I see lots of white women in my age group (18-22) hanging out with each other but no where near as many white men. Presumably they're indoors doing pointless bullshit. It's definitely a big problem. I used to play video games myself so I understand the attraction, but you will never get any fulfilment from playing them. They're getting more and more trash these days anyway so now's a good time to put them down.

>i tend to relate more to older people
Unironically this.
Gone is the generation of my grandfather, where they ask me on the phone whether my sister's boyfriend is white.

You seem cool.
Application for US citizenship approved

I'm in the same boat, dude. Contact with high school friends drifted off, never met anyone new, perpetuating the isolating cycle. Honestly, I think it's more common than people think. There's a lot of talk about how technology has radically sped up the flow of information, but what rarely gets talked about as much is the radical shift in how technology has changed socialization. Hilariously, I've also kind of reach the point where I think is the ideal.

If you're redpilled what things do you actually do what fun?
>go watch a movie
>film society at university
>go out and get shitfaced drunk on the weekend
These things are normie as fuck.
All I do is have political discussions with friends where I can otherwise what is the point of talking to other people?

do for fun?*

the guys are either playing video games or smoking weed and drinking

the girls are all on instagram, snapchat or facebook

Hey I just turned 20 potato bro, what's up?

afaik clubbing is dead here?
nightclubs close down every week

20 year olds are broke ass college students, working slave labor entry level jobs for perpetuity, stoners, or clubbing skanks/chads.

Not a single one of them has the mentality to pursue a hobby (especially since gratification is thought of an instant success due to them growing up with the internet attached to their umbilical cord) or they don't give a shit about anything other than bass and/or getting high.

I honestly love airsoft and sport rifle shooting. However I know airsoft is banned in Down Under isn't it?

Happy b-day, buddy. Welcome to the most disappointing part of your life if you're not a normie or really lucky, I suppose

>Be it airsoft, firing range, martial arts, amateur drama, swimming pool or gym. The common theme among all of them is the odd lack of 20 somethings partaking in those activities.

the total annihilation of all tradition
males have nothing except video games now, and not even good ones either just glorified casinos

But how do you find friends to go out with, if all of you guys sit at home?

not the right age OP.
You should be learning some skill that will provide your family.
After you settle down yourself you can get back into these things with people your age.
Your focus right now should be building value not hobbies.
>tl;dr
13 ~ 16 : fun with hobbies
16 ~ 24 : get serious or fuck off.
25 ~ 30 : starting family, raising infants
30 + : comfy fun with kids/ other parents.

p.s. you don't want to know what happens if you choose to fuck off in your 20's.

One day we will find ways to contact other anons.
Don't despair.

Move to the PNW it’s where I grew up and if you’re in your 20’s there you either like the outdoors or are a degenerate. Lot’s of great hiking and camping too

I do though. My work includes a lot of constant learning and improvement. The more I learn the more opportunities I have. It's not like I sit on my ass and just have fun. Thanks for the advice though

I was using those things more as a baseline. Imo, and this is going to sound cliched, the redpilled thing would be to simply look at yourself honestly and ask if whatever you're doing for fun is also beneficial to having a fulfilling life to some degree. Only you can answer that question at the end of the day.
By clubbing, I just generally mean going out on Friday/Saturday nights. Kinda proves my point, though, doesn't it? Nightclubs probably aren't as profitable because less young people are going out, thus they're closing. And these days most young people (at least in Australia) typically will instead opt for house parties and shit like that if they want to get shitfaced since it's cheaper than going out.

Also yes airsoft is banned here.
Everything is banned here.

No, males have plenty of things besides video games they could do, but that's just unfortunately what most are choosing. Not saying it's all their fault as it has a lot to do with the culture they grew up in, but the fact is that there is nothing stopping boys and men from leaving the house and doing something physically or mentally stimulating.

Athletics, board/card games, acting, there's a productive, fulfilling activity for everyone.

Maybe they're too busy studying in an increasingly competitive enviroment while the degrees are getting more useless by the minute (Yes even STEM unless you do shit like pure math)?
Or if they aren't their shitty jobs can't handle both the costs of living and the cost of a hobby?
You know, the shit we complain about here on a daily basis

I'm way past 20 & I never got into clubbing, couldn't enjoy the music or the atmosphere.
any music you need to be off your head on pills to enjoy didn't appeal.

>tfw turning 20 in 2 months
>tfw it's not getting better

where are all the people Jow Forums?
I go outside and all i see are demons.

Attached: 1532739260497.png (740x900, 923K)

If they're anything like the 20 year olds I work with, they're all home playing video games.

I play airsoft/40k and aside from that just play vidya/drink. I'm 26. I will say though that tabletop/airsoft is filled with 30 year old boomers who have been playing since they were kids and 16 year old zoomers. All the early 20 somethings are nowhere to be seen.

Attached: 1532756488977.png (720x687, 33K)

While what you say is true it doesn't really apply in Ireland since extreme majority of young adults still live with their parents because of the housing crisis and generally jobs don't pay too bad. While it could be a factor I doubt it's the reason

So the US airsoft scene is identical to the Irish one? Interesting

Yep, its mostly people who have been playing since forever and kids. The 20 year olds are extinct in the hobby.

Aye, it's exactly the same here

they are in Fornite.

Thanks man, I guess I'm pretty lucky to live in burgerland, not being a normie is going to be interesting but I plan on actually being productive over being degenerate. I'm looking forward to 21 so I buy handguns, full autos, short barreled rifles and suppressors. Alcohol is neat enough too I guess.

Nobody goes clubbing anymore you 30-year-old boomer, that's what tinder is for.

You could actually talk to them to see what they think and how they judge others, though most people hide their power levels, something the spergs here seem utterly incapable of.

The only time any of my friends leave the house in their freetime is for hookah bars.

If you see someone outside running/hiking it's usually a lone 40+ year old balding businessman.

This. Only GTA VI (if it's good) could get me back into gaming at this point, there's just nothing really great out there at the moment.

its probably a money concern, not a lot of 20 somethings dont have the money to invest in a hobby.

No money and no time, thanks boomers, we have to work 12 hours a day and still can't afford a house.

>everyone saying 20 year olds have no money
where the fuck do you people live? i live in a nice area in a city and i see tons of young adults at bars and restaurants all the time

I think thats the problem. All the 20 year olds are just blowing their money at bars and eating out instead of hobbies, so us boomers are just stuck with the zoomers who are being paid for by their parents.

well, dont overlook boomers living in a golden era and ruining it for their children. then not retiring.

this. also rotating shift work that more often than not occurs during traditionally recreational evening hours.

whats more alarming is i never see people my age at a grocery store

never

especially women

literally what the fuck is everyone from age 20-25 eating?

fast food and other shit from restaurants?

ive gone to the grocery probably a thousand times in the last 5 years and ive seen maybe like 3 other people my age in that whole time

what the everloving fuck

LMAO you are like 10 years late. Bars/clubs are all dead America.

At 22 I work a 16 hour day, how the fuck do you think I will do hobbies?

At university we have a night club on campus that is filled to the brim with degenerates everyday.
Maybe it's a European thing.

I noticed the demographics change based on the time you go. Like day vs night, weekday vs weeekend. I felt like an outsider going on an early morning weekday, so many older and elderly women there confused of my appearence in the store. If you live in a college town then youll always see younger people in the stores though.

This was the biggest surprise for me since I moved to America from yuroop. The only town where I see young people do grocery shopping is Boulder, CO. But it's a college town, so kind of an exception.

i think our clubs were swamped with shitskins and garbage music, garbage DJs, garbage speakers, and the whole scene died out

thats what i saw last at least, i havent been to any in years, i dunno if they actually "died' or if they're just still full of shitskins

Festival are still full of 20-30yo

Im in my 20s. Moved abroad, I swam a lot when I was in America though, it's a based activity

Most people in that age range are busy trying to ensure financial stability, they don't have time to waste on such activities.

Yeah mate I feel ya the whole experience is just shit
>overpiced
>shit music
>over the top bouncers and faggots ruining it for everyone
>11am lockout culture here
This last one is a big one most pubs bars and clubs are well empty here before 10pm it's fucked night-life is dead in aus even the big ones all close by 12-1am at the latest
As old mate said I just get shit faced with randoms on discord or siege or whatever the fuck I can text or talk into way more fun then going out ever was and I don't have to worry about some asshat knocking me out or fuck head cop bouncer etc power tripping
Luckily I never even had a bad time when I rarely went out but yeah I really didn't enjoy it and don't mourn the death of night-life or daytime drink drug culture.
It's funny the age of social media has made everyone anti social in real life to the point a introverted autist like me is considered gegerious because I don't go on it and prefer to see mates irl once in a while.
Discord or whatever is good but it can't replace physically having a bunch of mates in a room to banter and bounce off haven't had a doof house sesh in ages but I enjoyed them way more.
Had a lan drink sesh before was WY more fun then any club pub outing I ever had

they are too busy liking and sharing social justice memes on social media.

i wish i was joking. that's the entirety of their existence at the moment.

Don’t forget the massive impact porn has on people

Well, is he White?

No idea bruh, if you lose your HS friends and work with older people youre fucked.

Im honestly considering taking a few community college courses just to socialize. (Only churches around me are brown or korean)

Sports have always been a good way stay in shape and socialize. I especially like hockey but it's expensive to get started. Other than that shitposting, canoeing, kayaking and hiking are solid because it's free (other than initially buying the canoe/ kayak) I'm 27 by the way

What the fuck

Attached: 1533062236938.jpg (1920x1080, 76K)

We here nigga

Maybe this is geographically dependent? I'm 26, Floridanon. Everyone takes advantage of the warm weather and is out at the beach, or on the interior lakes tubing and jetskiiing. When I was college-age, trails were very popular among my friends. When it's rainy or too fucking hot (frequently the case) people are inside playing videogames. I met all my girlfriends either at extracurricular interest clubs or coffee shops. It was never hard to find bros to take on hunting trips either. Sure there's dumb club roasties and early burnout junkies, but they're easy to avoid if you're smart about it.

were either doomers inside our rooms never leaving or zoomers playing all the normie shit tier games available currently.

option three; it got ruined

trowing up in the streets at night

All around me no familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out races

Yeah. Lost contact with my hs friends, but I know that these days they're all left leaning normalfags.

I'm 22. I'm sitting in the living room emulating PS2 games and thinking about how much I want a mommy gf.

I go to the range, have been training in martial arts for about 7 years, and swim with my kid every summer. However I'm 36.

Me and my 20 year old friends spend all our time inside playing vidya games, going to work or college, and then coming home and playing video games.
We sometimes debate politics and talk about random shit.

I got my shit together with a good job in my late twenties, my gf decided to run off with a degenerate instead of having kids. Now I’m stuck working all day and can’t find a woman who isn’t a single mom or a junkie slut.

Gave me a hearty fnarrrf
Alarmingly accurate
This desu

Sorry to reply twice. It's different now for some reason. When I was 20 we lifted, fought each other, tried to get served in bars (usually worked), and went to parties to fuck the stupid sluts who went to parties. Now 20 year olds seem to either be giant roid freak looking dudes, or fat/skinny pussies with 'beards'.
