Lol what the fuck are you talking about? Some states have bicameral legislatures, some only have one chamber. It's up to them to decide that, under the 10th amendment. The US Senate represents the state governments, not the people. The House represents the people, which is why California has way more representation in the House than does Rhode Island.
State level Senates work entirely different to the Federal level senate since they don't have to abide by the 17th amendment, and as I already said, many states do not have the equivalent of a Senate, they have one legislative body that acts more like the House.
