I did research back in the day and in the 90s there were several occasions were Chinese triads were funneling millions of dollars into the DNC directly from the Chinese government, both from California and the New York. This included triad groups known for human trafficking, and many of these people were arrested despite extreme closeness to the Democrat political establishment in the early 2000s. That chinese gun control advocate in California, I think his name was Leyand Yee, was arrested for trafficking guns to criminals from Al Qaeda affiliated terrorist groups in the Philippines and was connected to this whole scheme.
The Chinese influence is gargantuan, in fact I've heard apolitical conspiracy theorists say that the US political system is a Russo-Chinese proxy war even though there's much more verifiable evidence of Chinese influence than Russian.
