No. Sicario was great because of its moral ambiguity in a tightly knit narrative.

Sicario 2 tries to be edgier and explore the characters more but fails, and the story is more contrived. We know everything we need to know about Merrin from the first film. His character is perfect. The sequel has him bonding with a chicana and we know he can sign because his daughter was deaf. It really adds nothing. The moral ambiguity is gone. The mystery is gone. Everything they do in the sequel is nice and legal or morally justified. It removes the horror that made the first film memorable.

The first movie was awesome, storyline, music, action sequences and even a tolerable female lead. The sequel seemed like a straight to dvd effort in comparison.

emily blunt was a useless character that had no arc. she was depressed in the beginning, "learned" things any person in her field would have known for some time, and ended up depressed.
she was an anchor on an otherwise decent film.

When i saw it i felt truly anxious the first time they make the trip down to juarez. It's rare to get that from a movie these days. Benicio Del Toro is good as usual, id watch it its pretty good.

I watched both this movie recently, then felt inspired to go back and watch the first one again. Can safely say the first one was 10x better than the second one. I can only hope this movie is like a shitty tier filler for the 3 movie which will be much better

They are really a lot darker skinned then the spics in this movie. The ones I see are all as dark and mongol looking as pajeet and arabs.
