Something very fishy is going on. Whenever I google suicide statistics for any country/city, it always shows all this bullshit beat around the bush irrelevant information. For example, I live in Toronto and the first thing I get when I Google "Number of suicide deaths in Toronto in 2017." The very FIRST thing I get is specifically TTC related suicide in 1984. Why is this? Is the Canadian government/Google trying to hide the exact number of suicides? What motivation could be behind this? Anyone got any insight?

I'm trying to do research on different countries suicide statistics in hopes the data could be relevant to figuring out the total happiness level of each country. I'm really, just doing this because it interests me, not because I have any mental issues.

If you could find the root cause for most suicides and it was a truth inconvenient to the state would you be surprised? It's likely that the information is being hidden because it might provide enemies with information about critical weaknesses. Hopefully you find what you are looking for.

Suicide statistics are a good measure of the health of a society. Other stats like GDP per capita, life expectancy and the like are all material measures of wellbeing, not spiritual wellbeing.

I looked up homicide statistics in my town a while back. The first results were all about how it was much higher back during the national peak around '93. After further sifting it because obvious the plain answer would have been -"double the national average" and "higher than some of the better African countries".
