For those asking what's the difference between NAFTA and the renegotiated deal, from the get go (and more may be added as the details pour in) here is the gist (pic related):
> Rules of Origin: instead of allowing for Mexico and Canada to source most of the components from (let's say) China, assemble in loco and call it "made in Mexico / Canada" now they must have at very least 62.5 to 75% of the input sourced from the bloc. No more laundering Chinese steel (for instance). > Wages: factories must pay at very least 16 dollars / hour. BERNIE FITE4FIFTEEN BTFO! > Sunset clause: instead of tying the US forever in a suicide pact 16 years from now if people want out of this deal all they need to do is ..... NOTHING! > Dairy products: the apple of the eyes of Trudeau, the sacred cow of Canada was made into a barbecue. Whatever Canada offered to the whole TPP is now all for the US. RAKED! > National security: no changes on the National security clause of the deal, which still allows the US to put tariffs up to 25% on steel and aluminum. NOT TODAY CHINKS! Canada and Mexico are exempt tho, but thanks to Rules of Origin (see above) they can't launder chinese metals anymore.
All in all the "rules of origin" and the 16$ wage seals the deal. China BTFO, leafs raked
So trump unironicly delivered? what does twatter and democrats say
Charles Torres
Just a name change so he can feel important. /cope/
Ayden Lewis
I'm honestly amazed that liberals are completely ignoring the new rules of origin and wage minimums.
>it's the same as NAFTA LOL
Landon Green
>something something kill whitey and kavanaugh
Landon Jones
its pretty good, but only business (((owners))) in the US will reap the benefits under trump. Bernie would have ensured worker protections and fair wages for steel workers
Asher Davis
>Bernie would have ensured worker protections and fair wages for steel workers user, are you blind? One of the main components of this revised trade deal is that 16$ / hour is the baseline wage for workers. For comparison, current minimal wage in Mexico is 50 cents / hour.
Sounds great but the name could've used work. All I read is United States Marine Corps.
Blake Collins
Harmonized with the US? That's unfortunate but consistent on not letting the leafs to take advantage of the americans.
Christian James
US > M > CA That is what’s changed! US first! Canada last!
Jack Jackson
IT'S FUN TO STAY AT THE
Angel Jenkins
dude youre not even from the states. either way, if we get him in 2020, he wont have to. trumps protectionist policies and conservative stupidity pave the way for socialists to further the former
As long as this makes the life of the average can*dian worse, I'm happy.
Adrian Cruz
God damn... Fucking Mexico government can't get their shit together.
Jason Adams
bernie wouldn't of done jackshit commie and you know that. He'd of been just as deadlocked in congress and trump is. >no refunds
Jeremiah Lopez
says the israeli
Sebastian Taylor
So Neil Young's waterhead kids will be well provided for
Jayden Brooks
>Bernie would've... Sold out to the neoliberal establishment like the cuck he is. >But Bernie promised... Sure, and then he sold out to Shillary Clinton. Get fucked.
Jason Campbell
Sixteen dollars an hour?!? Either Mexican workers in the auto industry will soon receive 100% to 400% wage increases or a lot of those auto plants and auto parts plants are going to come back to the U.S.. One of the main reasons why American manufacturing companies moved to Mexico was to reduce their labor costs by paying mestizos five bucks an hour.
Ryan Sanchez
i dont think youre getting what im saying. obama to bernie, youd probably be right. but things are different now. there is a far left backlash to trump's new normal. hillary-types cannot survive in this climate. shes a joke now. so are neolibs. either way, trump will NEVER stand for the american worker. only the jew
Daniel Cox
great job user! this deal is such a win for our country if it makes it through, and the only thing those fucks at msm want to talk about is fabricated fornication.
Mason Ramirez
>Trump only stands for the jew >A jew would have given us a better deal user, I...
Joseph Jenkins
>if it makes it through Does it require ratification? How did trump dismantle nafta if it was ratified?
Lincoln Bailey
yes it still has to make it through the houses, it also has to make it through canadas parliament and mexicos gov as well. All three presidents, or pm in canucka, agree on the deal
William Hill
>Does it require ratification? IIRC Obama changed the rules as so congress cannot change anything in the deal, only pass or flunk it meaning it will pass the republican dominated congress
Jack Davis
what if trudeau breaks into tears while jeff flake is nearby?
Ethan Foster
>what if trudeau breaks into tears while jeff flake is nearby? The alternative is no deal user.
Henry Sullivan
Unless the HFC kill it because it's basically TPP.
Dylan Powell
these are all good things for Canada too but Trudeau was a dairy lobby puppet
Thanks trumpo, now just rake a bit more and put Doug Ford in as PM of Canada.
Logan Adams
>because it's basically TPP. How is it TPP? The major objection to TPP is that it involved "trans pacific" nations that were so small even entertaining in dealing with them at equal footing was already a loss to the US.
Isaiah Walker
Also, TPP would have made American workers compete for jobs with gooks who make two bucks an hour.
Adam Myers
TOPLMAO
literally nothing of the actual trade deal for tariffs changed
this moron basically did a name change to feel like he did something. Can't wait for the trumptards that will try to convince me this is the greatest deal in the universe
They'll move to China. I really don't understand the purpose of this part of the agreement.
James Bell
>nothing of the actual trade deal for tariffs changed WHAT?! That means nothing! What are you implying here user? Also: it's like you read nothing that was posted, either the image or the accompanying text
Christian Butler
Thanks for sharing the new talking point shareblue.
Jason Lee
>They'll move to China Hard to move to China when they're getting tariffed user. You didn't think this through, did you? And this time they can't simply launder it through Mexico or Canada, see Rules of Origin
Jose Parker
>trade deal with Canada and Mexico finally done >HAHA CHINA BTFO!!!
Exactly, user. Cant have some off the books pablos making cars thatll fail QC - automated plants in the US is the real way to bring back jobs (not a lot since lol RPA)
Hunter Garcia
>16 years Seems a bit long. Perhaps 12 would be better?
Colton Bennett
Back to the gulags with you soon Buzzfeed nice b8
Parker Cruz
zero arguments, only calling names the typical 70 IQ drump supporter reply
Good stuff. I'm a sick fuck who just wants to be Canada squirm more and more. But Trump got a win for the people of all three and a decent win for America. I dont know if Hillary would of just renewed the old agreement, but I think it's pretty good odds that Trump suffered through this for the people far more than she would. Cant wait to see China brought to heel next.
Henry Johnson
lol at Mexicans thinking Trump is their bro or something. NAFTA has always been about having a cheap labour pool of brown goblins for industrial american interests.
Ethan Williams
user, plz, aren't you paying attention? One of the problems of NAFTA is
> US: China, you are behaving badly so I'm imposing a 9001% tariff on your steel > China: no biggie. Hey Mexico, want to buy steel 10 dollars under what America is paying? > Mexico: alright! Hey US, wanna buy totally "made in Mexico" steel 1 dollar under what you are currently paying? No tariffs gringos, we are NAFTA bitches!
Zachary Allen
>behaving badly so im imposing steel tariff I thought the steel tariffs were for national security reasons?
your mandated internet usage for the year is up commie fuck off
Lincoln Phillips
It gets rid of the incentive to use slave labor.
Evan Murphy
fuck drumpf he's putting kids in concentration camps and is putin's dick holster
John James
>what does twatter and democrats say who fucking cares? honestly?
Thomas Adams
>whatever Canada offered to the whole TPP is now all for the US
lol you fucking idiot, the US is pegging for market-access....not our fucking goods. just because we're signing a deal with the US on the dairy front doesn't mean we're putting a kibosh on everything else.
nothing in there about softwood lumber in there, either, but feel free to keep thinking that Trump has all the leverage
Lucas Brooks
I wish.
Connor Cruz
>16 dollars an hour >slave labour topkek. Even in usa the average factory salary is 12 an hour and they are the most likely ones that will be forced to comply
Levi Walker
>Bernie would have ensured worker protections and fair wages for steel workers Implying world leaders would respect that jew, and not cuck him like the BLM protesters did
Luke Lopez
Nothing's gonna change
Mexico will remain a terrible country, why are we even part of this?
Caleb Sanchez
US steel workers are paid higher than that. It's obviously more dangerous and takes more skill than a factory job.
Logan Reyes
I literally read: “I don’t care if it’s good. If it’s a win for Trump, I don’t want it.”
Nolan Collins
>I thought the steel tariffs were for national security reasons? The national security reason is that without producing steel for peacetime steel forges close and there won't be any for wartime. It is not rocket science
Noah Scott
>All Chinese imports aren't being tarriffed, For now
I literally read: “I don’t care if it’s bad or the same . If trump signed it I love it"
Jayden Stewart
seething chink is seething.
Jason Cox
>”y-you’re all s-sno-snowflakes!” >phew, good thing I have my memeflag on or I might accidentally get triggered by insults to my country.
Sebastian Torres
>good thing I have my mutt flag on, nobody can make fun of me now!
Ayden Edwards
CHINKed, such good respone!
Joshua Turner
>How did trump dismantle nafta if it was ratified? You can thank Jimmy Carter for that. He unilaterally ended our treaty with Taiwan in order to suck up to the Chicoms and that ended up becoming a power of the presidency. New treaties still need ratified.
William Moore
I took a look through some jobs and it looks like it's around 20-30 usd/h for a steelworker.
Benjamin King
then they get tarrif'd and hit with the MADE IN CHINKLAND stickers which they so strongly want to avoid
Tyler Murphy
my guess is this is to coincide with a business cycle (plant investment terms, etc)
Hunter Jenkins
>> Dairy products: the apple of the eyes of Trudeau, the sacred cow of Canada was made into a barbecue. Whatever Canada offered to the whole TPP is now all for the US. RAKED! > US Dairy industry is a farce. Most of the workers on dairy farms are migrants from South of the Rio Grande River. A system accepted by US dairy farmer legitimizes these workers as legal. As a side note, Cuck Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and multi-millionaire, just applied for subsidies provided by Trump for losses related to Trump's dairy tariffs
