Because paganism is dead and neo-paganism is about as accurate as Wicca. A better example would probably be agnosticism with a general social focus on being pro-white, pro-tradition, etc.

You don't need religion to teach your kids that stealing is wrong, nor do you need religion to maintain traditions in general. Morality arises primarily from upbringing, if you teach your kids that stealing is okay (at least under certain circumstances) than they won't develop a strong sense of value towards others' property. Likewise traditions arise from positive memories. If your kids' memories of Christmas or some winter pagan holiday are just sitting around bored while their parents get drunk and fight with relatives they won't give a shit about following that holiday when they are older.

I'm developing a religion with a Germanic pagan substrate and a modern metaphysical superstrate, designed to be easily modified to accomodate the other Indo European polytheistic religions. Think of it as West Aryan Zoroastrianism. All will be revealed soon, as soon as I have torn out my left eye ball for clarity.
