Light Polution

How can we marginalize light pollution and is it even possible? I wan't to be able to lay in my grass in my yard at night and gaze at the stars and let my mind wander. Oh how beautiful and such a sight it would be! Does nobody else wan't to see such a thing every night?

Are you gay

What is so "gay" about enjoying the universe and the night sky!

yes, you need to leave the city

you (and me ) just need to relocate to a rural area.

I once lived in a part of California that was 40 miles from Merced or Modesto in either direction the next nearest town of size was 12 miles away Mariposa.. laying out in the hills above the Merced at night the star fields were vast and brilliant..

Electromagnetic pulse. It will end all degeneracy instantly

I saw the most stars in my life last August in Hereford Oregon. First time I ever saw shooting stars all the way to the horizon.

If it's that important to you, get away from the city. There's plenty of rural America for the taking, user.

Light pollution is horrible. Did you know that without it, you can see multiple shooting stars per night, often per hour? I live near a big city and loathe looking up at pale orange tinted night sky, largely devoid of stars.

Even three hours North of LA you can still see the glow on the Horizon.

I think it is the most damning thing that modernity has shut out the stars from the sky.

Are cities a way for the elite to hide the luminaries in the firmament from us?

I don't want to die, but when I do, I want it to be outside, at night, looking up at the stars.

So, it will probably be some afternoon in the hospital looking at some baboon with a bedpan in his hands.

I feel like cities are a psy op to hide the firmament

Want to get fully torqued?
The Mauna Kea Summit observatory (best skies in the USA) has gotten blockaded by indian protesters. They want every telescope gone and millions if not billions of dollars of gibs, and the KEKED Hawaii government is on track to give it all to them.
This is why I am here.

I've heard this "indigenous rights" activists on the local communist radio station before. I've even argued with them at demonstration. They're cracked.

Checked.

Thing is, they're too poor and low IQ for computers so I don't know how to meme against them.

Best I came up with was founding Kekistan as a homeless encampment opposite theirs, and talking burger neets into becoming Hawaii dwelling neets on Hawaii welfare to build out the encampment.

Light pollution sucks.

You lived here? Free food/water?

I used to work out here on helicopters. Exmouth is the site of the australian national solar observatory

The stars there at night would make you cry. Literally could read a book from the milky way and also saw for the first time in my life

You have to go back

unironically communism

move out to the country cityfag i can see the starts from my windows

well in fact yes... now there were seven springs on a hill opposite where the living area was.. they were all fitted with collectors and run into a single large pipe. the gravity acting as that pipe ran down the hill over a creek and up the hill where the dwellings were was enough to run several sprinklers and regularly fill a 5' x 10 foot round tank at the top of the hill which again then would run other sprinklers.. there were many fruit trees, figs , peaches ,nectarines, oranges, sugar plums, almonds, pomegranates and we grew strawberries and melons..... We had a friend who owned a health food store who gave us food. there were several large refrigerators and freezers and we had electricity. We did spend some money so it wasn't 100% free in that they were mining claims and we had to pay the $100.00 year assessment fee and the electric bill but these were gold claims.. the living area was just to the Left of the square on that Hill... eventually the BLM sued the claim holder just because they wanted us gone. He lacked funds to have a decent lawyer and wasn't breaking any laws... BLM are fucking bitches. The guy was featured on an old Primetime Live with sam Donaldson for an expose about people taking advantage of the old miuneral rights laws..

he bought the claims for $5/acre in the 1950's and only had to either do mining improvements valued at $100.00 a year or pay that in a fee to the State or BLM.. people around the country had bought up mineral claims @ $5.00/acre and turned the land into resorts making millions.. My freund was just living there .. he put an old bus, mobile home ,two school buses and a short bus .. there were wood burning stoves shower/tubs a washing machine , stove kitchen etc.. all gone now thanks to the Feds

Mandated lights-out or curtains drawn after a certain time. Make office buildings and the like stop leaving the lights on when there's nobody even there unless there's a reason for this other than muh burglars.
