Jeff Flake & Republicans

What happens if Jeff Flake flakes out?

Are there other Republicans who also might flake out and vote against Kavanaugh?

How likely is it that Kavanaugh will be confirmed?

His presidential dream for 2020 is dead.

he'll flake because he's comped. Manchin will vote yes and I wouldn't be surprised if some pedocrats do as well to soften the fisting that's coming to them soon from the DOJ

100%. Turtleman would not be moving forward if he was unsure about the votes.

Based Turtleman

we might have Joe Manchin, and we can always count on Mike Pence if it gets to that

He should. Nothing will fire up the base more than dems railroading a nominee. Then repubs make it a campaign promise to renominate kavanaugh . My guess is they will pick up redstate who have dems. Force them to vote.

Reps still have a +2 advantage if worst comes to worst.

And now that FBI has said there was not even a hint of misconduct from Kavanaugh, anyone that doesn't vote yes should be executed publicly.

He's not voting yes. Stabbing your own people in the back for a higher moral position is the Mormon way.

If... I’m guessing his choice is crazy liberals screaming at him and killing his pets.... or angry neoconservatives shunning him at the rotary club.

Collins is yes

The very fact that he said he wouldn't do it if he was running for re-election is all I needed to hear.

Dude is a traitorous cunt coward who clearly doesn't care about his constituents.

What's worse though is this feckless cunt

If he votes no...

And no one wants to admit this but if he did, the midterms will be a Republican SLAUGHTERHOUSE. It would completely take away all motivation from the right.

Don't worry about Flake. He's a cuck and he's voting no, but we still have this without him. Manchin is a yes, and there's a maybe from Heidi Heitkamp and Donnelly.

Keep dreaming, commie.

If he votes no his career is eviscerated and Pence finishes the job and votes him in.

Jeff Flake's career is over anyway.

Lindsay Graham will probably knock him out.

He’s comped?

Flake will Flake out and vote no, but that's o.k.
McConnell would never have invoked cloture unless he either:
(1) has the votes; or
(2) doesn't have the votesbut is clued in to Pres. Trump's strategy of using the open seat and Dem obstruction to maintain and grow a red wave through the mid-term elections.

If it's the second option, it's a gamble, but the payoff could be huge ... maintain/grow Republican majority in one or both houses. Assuming they keep majority in Senate, nominate and push through an even more conservative justice than Kavanaugh.

Either way, Democrats lose big time.

Presidential dream? He isn't even liked in his OWN state. Talk about a pipe dream.

Yeah but, he ain't bad looking so WAHMEN will vote for him. If he blocks Kav the demorats will hail him as a master cock-blocker.
