Obama managed to fuck up what was a functional and excellent healthcare system. Premiums started spiking shortly after he took office.
Purchasing a good plan ($2500 deductible, full heath coverage, dental and vision) in 2009 cost $110/month. I know -- because that's when I started by own business and was purchasing health plans for myself and others. It'd be slightly better than what we call "Gold" plans these day here in the USA. That same plan today here costs about $900/mo.
Obamacare did a great job of giving health insurance, subsidies by the rest of us, to the poor -- mostly illegal immigrants -- and some elderly.
As far as NON-elderly and non-illegals population? Barely a dent. We went from 16% uninsured to 10% today... though latest numbers are about 12% last I saw.
He fucked a nation's healthcare for illegal aliens.
It would have been MORE cost effective to give actual poor citizens Medicaid -- and then deport the 10million+ illegals who mostly aren't paying into the system.
Oh and by the way -- turns out that number might be closer to 20million illegals.
