REPEAL THE 17th AMENDMENT

Discuss. Do we need to start choosing our senators out of the state senate again? This would make people more interested in their state senators and local politics. It may also prevent big cities from dominating the rest of the state. Senators are supposed to be aristocratic, the best chosen among the best. Not e-celebs.

bump BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP! We should also overturn Reynolds v Sims so there is one state senator per county. This would seize control of the legislature away from the big cities.

Iir they where simply appointed by the states themselves is the governor.

Makes more sense that way as the senate is for the states and the house for the populace.

The 17th amendment is how we got so many dual-citizens in the Senate. All patriots should be in broad favor of repeal.
Every amendment passed after 1913 is a chink in the armor of our great republic.

We would also need to overturn Reynolds v Sims. Without overturning that SCOTUS decision first, the big cities would remain in control of the state legislatures and therefore appoint liberal senators.

Why don't many people care about this issue? My patriotic blood boils at the fact that our Republic is destroyed by democracy.
