The BBC do this all the time, they constantly post about how we need more women coders and more minority engineers because these jobs are 90% male. But they don't ever complain that we need more female or minority bin men, or sewer workers, or to go and do petroleum engineering on an oil rig for 6 months of the year.
It's so obvious and transparent that it can't be anything short of boasting that they can get away with it. It's why mainstream media is dying. The moment this stuff gets posted outside of a soapbox echo chamber the first thing that should happen is demand a source for the central claim. How do we reliably know what is being asserted is true? Where is the published and peer reviewed science on this?

The reason there aren't as many women is because women who are good at engineering tend to have better communication skills, so they tend to be interested in things that aren't portals into autism.
There are tons of yellows and browns in engineering.
So it suggests that any other minority on average has low intellect or is not interested.
