There's some really neat shit that we can and have found out about the way the Earth used to look. Cool ass example is that the sea levels were 400 feet lower just 12k years ago, which led a lot of people into thinking that maybe civilization got started once before and got wiped out by massive floods (pure speculation, but it would explain why just about every major culture on Earth has a flood myth lmao).

It's nice to have accurate weather predictions, it's great for farmers to know what the averages are going to be like each year, but Democrats came in and turned everyone against each other.

Science is not a monolith and attempting to model the future is dubiously scientific at best. There's thousands of climate models that exist and almost all of them are dead wrong. That some get in the news has no impact on reliability.
