Man in the High Castle

So what would have happened in a pic related scenario REALISTICALLY? Would the USA have surrendered or would they have literally fought until the last man?

Oh and season 3 is shit, SJWs got to it.

>invading mainland America
a rifle behind every blade of grass etc etc

well, thanks for helping me make up my mind as to whether or not i should watch it.

>Oh and season 3 is shit, SJWs got to it.
Pls no I want more of Obergruppenfuhrer Smith being badass

This, and the US not using nukes in retaliation against Germany. The world would be a burning cinder.

>So what would have happened in a pic related scenario REALISTICALLY? Would the USA have surrendered or would they have literally fought until the last man?
It's really hard to imagine a scenario where the Axis successfully invades the continental US. The logistics of it are simply impossible: supply lines over that kind of distance are too massive a liability.

The post likely scenario where America is "conquered" by the Nazis is one where the US nazi party takes power and enters the war on the side of the axis, and the only way I see that happening is if the US decided enmasse that the communists were a bigger threat than the nazis, decided FDR and the rest of the progressives were communists, and rose up in rebellion. Note that this is effectively what happened AFTER the war. History books don't do a very good job explaining why, if FDR was so well loved, the US was able to muster the political will to pass a constitutional amendment to ensure a Presidency like his could never happen again. What would need to happen was for this awakening to happen 10 years sooner.

I'm only halfway through season 3 but he is still pretty badass

Quick rundown on Season 3? I have dramatically cut down on my TV watching to pursue more productive goals but I was still curious how this show was turning out. The ending of Season 2 gave me a good tingle.

I didnt watch the series yet but I know I saw a scene on jewtube where they're used

He still is and is the only good thing about the show, but everything else...

>german soldiers are mumbling retards
>main characters are now gay
>both a fag and a lesbian couple have huuge screen time
>Smith's wife is an alcoholic addict
>stronk womyn on every corner
>a strong jewish community takes up significant portions of each episode taking a stand against the ebil nazis

I can list much more, but don;t want to spoil in case you see it

The Germans nuked Washington DC

>fighting to the last man

The thing to remember is that in MitHC land, FDR was not President, Germany defeated the USSR, invaded Britain, and then developed the bomb and nuked Washington. Given that the US actually had a fairly pro-German underground and was facing destruction by nukes, something might give. The real wacko thing is that Japan would have any influence on the West Coast. At best, the US would remain intact with a pseudo-federal government that was friendly to the Reich, and would probably loose a lot of territory in the Pacific.

OP is right, the show turned degenerate. It's almost like it's not even the same show anymore. only good thing is Smith. Smith got black mailed and was pushed to resign, but blackmailed the blackmailer and saved him and his family like a boss. Everything else is degenerate. At least 3 different actually GAY scenes.

It's a fictional world where Germany develops nukes before everyone else

If USA didn't get involved then USA would have been left alone.

Germany has no capacity to invade the US. Literal mutt "without us you would be speaking german" -tier propaganda.

everyone is now a gay cuck and Juliana is still the most boring character ever written

PKD was batshit insane.

we will never, ever get a Dr. Bloodmoney adaptation.

I honestly don't think Yanks have the heart for fighting against a superior force

Map of the world from the TV show btw

Washington nuking scene

Sorry if we don't take the opinion of a country we had to save seriously.

An eventual conflict was inevitable. Just like in the show Germany vs Japan is inevitable.

>Germany has no capacity to invade the US.

By that time they had dealt with USSR and possibly the UK, so they had a lot of logistics and military force available.

Is there a reason why there's a buffer zone in the American Midwest?
Also
>nobody wanted Mexico
This seems realistic

The grey are all buffer zones to avoid border tension and conflict. Some of it might be nuked areas as well.

It'd be too expensive to maintain. Nazis were already overstretched just occupying countries in Europe. Japan is in the same position occupying billions of people.

>SJWs got to it.
What did they do? It was actually an alright series but I haven't finished season 2 yet

Local collaborators my dude

i'm a kike writer, suddenly japan and germany running ethnosupremacist regimes have unlimited pools of manpower to hold territory and be gunned down by feeble jews every single episode
>OI WOT IF HEYDRICH SURVIVED THE WAR AND WUZ UR STEPDAD

Let me ask my I Ching.

They didn't even finish Britain but you believe they could just invade US?

Delusional.

>rockies is Midwest
Nigga what?
Anyway the reason for buffer zones is because the countries don't want direct borders to reduce tension. I actually have to give props to the writers, the buffers all correspond to natural geography that would make sense
>Rocky Mountains
>Amazon Rainforest
>Andes Mountains
>Siberia
>Tibet
>Eurasian Steppes
>Afghan Mountains
I always hate when fictional worlds have major superpowers with borders right up to each other and no geographic buffer.

>Would the USA have surrendered or would they have literally fought until the last man?
This is a very unlikely scenario, because unlike what you've been told Hitler was not intent on conquering the world. Hitler offered to withdraw from France and Poland in return for peace with England.

The most difficult thing that American and Britain would have had to endure would be a sovereign, independent Germany, and not a military occupation.

The war went on only as long as the allies thought it was beneficial for their purpose of destroying Germany and testing the atomic bomb on Japan.

T-that’s... that’s literally how our country was founded. We earned our independence fighting the world’s greatest empire at the time near the height of its strength.
Didn’t just stumble into it when the empire collapsed like you faggots in Australia.

What was that book series, axis of time I think? Give that a read, holy shit. Summed up as
>strong gay black women go back in time to tell white men to sit down and shut up while they kill both allied and axis nazis
And of course a grueling long arc about the Holocaust, fraught with "revenge porn" writing. Judaism is one hell of a drug.

Doesn't matter they lost thousands in guerilla warfare just holding a place like Yugoslavia even with Croatian collaboration.

It's a fictional show you autist

We're sorry for cucking your shit up, Hans. It won't happen again, promise.

It's important to ask WHEN in the war Germany would have won, and if Britain and others would have sided with them. Hitler envisioned Germany and Britain marching against America together at some point in the future. But if he had gotten the Soviets and Allies to fight when the tables turned, the Nazis may have survived up to the Cold War and beyond. _When_ would they have won?

Also, the show was always larpy shit. It shouldn't be bearable to anyone who seriously studied the Third Reich.

>t. Cunt who lost to a literal fucking bird in the battlefield

Please actually know the story before you talk out your ass
>FDR doesn't exist
>US President stays isolationist
>No cash and carry
>No lend lease
>Britain runs out of bullets early on
>Gets invaded
>Germany can focus 100% of effort on Russia with no risk of Western Europe invasion or any allied presence in North Africa
>Japan gets to rampage unchecked and digest the resource rich areas in China and Indonesia
>Germany takes Russia and huge parts of Africa, gets to digest that
>Both countries have massive territory full of resources they've been allowed to exploit to built huge militaries
>Germany gets nukes and uses them on the us, then invades
It's plausible enough, and remember this is FICTION

>Germany defeats the USSR
>The real wacko thing is that Japan would have any influence on the West Coast

Attached: B6E6F686-3FD9-4197-A16F-2CC947A34D6D.jpg (640x480, 46K)

I think the premise of the show is that FDR was assassinated before being elected, and someone more isolationist became president. The US never recovered from the Great Depression and stayed out of the war until it was too late.

Americans literally have red dawn type fantasies where they fight off foreign invaders. We have the infrastructure and weapons to lead a full scale gorilla war like the afghans .

Attached: oregon-militia-member.jpg (955x500, 214K)

you realize you only one that war thanks to french and spanish aid, right? if it hadn't been for them, the whole revolution would've been a minor inconvenience, at best

Introducing a gay character could have worked if it was handled right. An interesting way to show such a world could be both more oppressive and less oppressive than the 1960s of our timeline. But like everything in entertainment these days, they had to go over the top and excessive with it.

Another realistic way it could have happened was if America had split during the Civil War. A Confederacy definitely would have sided with the Axis to the point where if the North had decided to seriously supply the Allies they could have invaded. Whether or not a second Civil War would have broken out is kind of hard to tell, but either way it would have stopped the US from supplying Britain so well and entering when it did. Hell, if the Civil War really did split the US Hawaii might not have been ours and California could have already broken off from the US as well.

>thinks second season was "based"
show went downhill after they dropped nip and started saying jap.

No, it happened basically like it actually happened. US cut off oil to Japan, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, but more than that, they actually took Hawaii. That's the start of the shift. The Japanese occupation of Hawaii. I'm not sure what happened after that, didn't really pay too much attention. Too busy getting my rocks off at the asthetics of Nazi US.

>So what would have happened in a pic related scenario REALISTICALLY?

Safe communities.
No crime.
High birthrates.
Sky-high quality of life.
No wars.
Technological advancement.

The only downsides would be learning German and having to pretend sauerkraut is good.

I know this seems kind of strange, but even in the most liberal areas (NY, CA) there are very heavily armed gun owners who wouldn't hesitate to form a militia with his community in that situation. If a foreign soldier ever stepped foot on American oil you'd see racists handing negroes AR-15's if they were willing to fight.

Yup Took yrs of planning to launch Normandy A distance you could swim.

Sauerkraut is good and it's healthy for your gut biome

New season went full faggot propaganda.

This implies the USA would of never joined axis powers and keep sovereignty
0/10

>can't write up a convincing scenario where the USA's NEETsoc regime becomes unsustainable and slowly self-destructs from within
>peanut-brained writers start trotting out the tired old rebels vs empire FITE DA POWAH cliches instead

Attached: 816ed532cc61e10d008ec519cf91ca50.jpg (744x1052, 1.49M)

>Germany gets nukes and uses them on the us
If the war in Europe had been totally lost, or if Britain/Russia had lost too quickly, the US would have negotiated a peace settlement with Germany and focused entirely on Japan. That's the main problem with this fiction. We didn't actually have much skin in the game in Europe until Japan attacked us. American industry pandered to both sides.

Attached: doubt.png (224x347, 98K)

A confederate victory in the civil war is a very interesting alternate history setting on its own. There's another book series where the South ends up as part of the Allies in ww1 and the North is fighting with the Central Powers

Which of the time was a minor city and wouldn't have actually changed much other than ensuring the US Fire Bombed Germany more.

Stop watching dumbass TV shows

>a fucking bird

They use "pons" now, which is cringey as fuck.

You'll like this fren.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_Units
Still hoping to one day have a home turf face off.

It's implied that Germany wouldn't have cared and invaded anyway. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's not totally implausable. People saying shit like "they couldn't even invade Britain" when the UK only held on thanks to US supplies is retarded.

American audiences won't watch something that realistic. The top grossing films these days are fucking superhero movies.

>Would the USA have surrendered or would they have literally fought until the last man?

It's borderline impossibile to conquer the USA, everyone and their mom has a gun

It was the capital of the U.S. Having it destroyed with a new superweapon would have an extremely devastating psychological impact. And in this scenario, its unlikely the Americans have the ability to firebomb Germany.

this.

season 3 ruined a lot

We would have conformed to a more functioning society, Unfortunately it was never a goal to conquer the US for the axis powers, it was only to destroy the communist menace, which the US only helped to propagate.

literally
>#resistance
on all commercials for new season
and also
>muh woman
saves the day

We won The Battle of Britain before US had entered.
And we were not given supllies, we sent a ship full of gold every Fucking year til 1996.
And you only entered for the resonant cavity magnetron we offered as well as the cash (basically radar).

>Watch show
>giga chad shows up
>mite b cool
>dies right away

Attached: chad.jpg (2298x720, 588K)

naw they are trying to make him less sympathetic and relatable.
I think the writers realized that everyone liked the Nazis more than the resistance characters, so they are fucking them all up.

Attached: jaw.jpg (340x451, 66K)

God I wish that really happened I fucking hate this kike world order

Cash and carry started in 1939 you dumb bong. I never said you got them for free, but without the industrial force backing you wouldn't have had weapons. And without lend lease you would have sat there jerking off instead of bombing and harassing the germans.

>People saying shit like "they couldn't even invade Britain" when the UK only held on thanks to US supplies is retarded.
Yeah, usually commie bongs are the ones to say that. Even worse are the people who think Russia single-handedly saved the day in Europe. Russia would have imploded without US resupply. Stalingrad wouldn't have even happened.

Realistically an invasion of the US mainland would be nearly impossible you would need to transport a massive force over either the Atlantic or pacific virtually unseen and past the US navy. Then even if you where able to somehow manage that you have to deal with a populace which is 1. heavily armed and 2. grew up with a national identity of resistance to unpopular rule. If you can do that somehow you then have deal with a massive landmass to administer, and would need to deal with natural barriers like mountain ranges, rivers, and deserts. You could probably invade a coast maybe but to conquer the whole US would be near impossible.

>The Germans nuked Washington DC

Imagining that kike hive getting insta-shoah'd makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Which is mad if you think about it.
Every microwave has one.
When we sent one to the US via Iceland, it had an escort of 12 Mosquitoes, 24 Spitfire Mk VI's and then at Iceland the US sent 28 Mustangs (with Rolls Royce/Merlin engines) and 8 flying fortress to make sure it got to NY safe.
Mad how a small piece of tech changes everything.

>Hitler offered to withdraw from France and Poland in return for peace with England
Hitler never offered to withdraw from Poland, and wanted to exterminate Poles.

The war was won with British leadership, American industry, and Russian blood. Take any of those components out and the allies lose.
>Britain and Russia run out of bullets
>US running around like headless chickens while Russia mindlessly throws people at the Nazis
>US and Britain try to fight in a meat grinder but don't have the political system to sustain it

We would have fought a nasty total war if Sea Lion was ever tried.
The Germans wouldn't have risked it.
It would have been a fight to the last child, and even then there were Auxiliary Units.
The thing we should all recognise is that between Churchill, Hitler and Stalin, a LOT of young white European blood died to fund the same cuts that funded both sides.
In my opinion, it was all part of The Kalergi Plan.
Nobody won WW2.

Smith is the only redeeming feature of the show. And his son rip. Too bad they ruined his wife and killed of based joe heussman

They would work with the Germans because muh hurritage

Also as well the Axis had no need for the Americas. They already got every resource they needed from Africa and Europe alone. So you're asking your population to basically produce millions of babies just to occupy 4 continents for the Lolz.

I'd agree with this if it cumilated into a successful election of Charles Lindbergh as president in 1940. He warned about the jews and viewed Hitler as an ally

Not entirely.
I thought about this recently, how many Chinese etc have high rank positions in the big industries.
Nuclear plants, factories, the electrical grid etc...
Imagine if one day they got an "activate" message?
There must be sleeper cells. The numbers and logic would dictate it.

Well we never lost to a bunch of fucking birds either so.

This. Just when Joe Blake became a Chad they let "le stronk Wyman" slice his throat. I'm not at the end, but I'm happy based Chief Inspector Kido is alive. That bayonet execution was based. Hopefully he will carry the torch when they eventually cuck Reichsmarschall Smith.

Attached: 640px-kampf-um-norwegen.jpg (640x759, 165K)

Good points.
Patton and Month should have took on USSR there and then.
They Fucking killed one of the greatest generals ever for mentioning it.
Patton was right about all of it.

Nowhere near the height of their strength and they were too busy fighting against the French and Spaniards to send more than 5 guys and a dog off to fight you.

Even Hitler himself saw the US as being a rival with WWIII happening in the 80s. The entire premise is a huge stretch.

Rest in Peace Rockwell.

Lame as fucking fuck
This is why I ditched this show after the first mediocre episode. How do you have such a cool premise and manage to fuck it up so bad?
If you want a good nuke scene watch threads. That whole movie is an eye opener.
youtu.be/MrHoMSRZOS4

So you create temporary chaos but i doubt the US would bow after a sneaky attack like that. But also you have to think of US military bases world wide. If an attack like that where to occur you would need to blitz every US defense simultaneously otherwise they would immediately respond.

>gorilla warfare
Oo oo ah ah

Hello, Harry Turtledove.

agreed, I mean they couldn't even invade Japan without thinking considering Japan as some superhumans that fight the hardest they've ever seen and needed to nuke them- meanwhile the Soviet Union also fought the Japanese and didn't give a fuck.

Americans are such fucking wimps

Gay shit came out of nowhere.

is it even worth watching? I'm one episode from finishing Season 2.

They would have surrendered rather than get nuked into nothingness

But I am jealous of what the world became tho

Germany has the worlds tech better and more advanced that what the real world 1962 was.

Africa is enslaved and used for raw resources.

Everything but the West Coast is for whites.

mmm
