It became what is known today as Fine Gael, the party currently in power... don’t get excited. The party as devolved into a centrist party that has a gay paki for leader and now our Taoiseach (Prime Minister).

What is the fascist economic policy? I’ve never gotten a good answer or found a good book/article on it. It either seems to be “whatever is best for the nation at that time”, which is a bullshit, meaningless answer, or a copy of neo liberal socialist economic policy.

If you want a good book on fascist economics and fascism in general, i’d suggest reading fascism: 100 questions asked and answered by Oswald Mosely. I’ll try explaining fascist economics though. Fascism isn’t universal (obviously) so the economic system for each individual nation will be different. The most well known fascist economic system is Corportatism, not to be confused with corporations running the nation. Corporatism allows free enterprise to exist as long as it doesn’t harm the interests of the nation. Fascism also uses capital for the interests of the nation. Private enterprise is not allowed when it goes against national interests. This is made possible because of the corprative system, which lays down the limits within an ibdustry may operate, and those limits are the welfare of the nation.

So what would be some examples of the national interest that a business might go against? Would a business that imports foreign cars be going against the national interest? Consumers prefer those cars, but the nations own automobile industry does not.
I wouldn’t consider that going against the national interests. I can see how it could go against nation though. Something that would be going against national interest would be a business that imports corn from a different country rather than using corn from farms in our country. Also the nation in fascism basically means the same as the people.
