Should governments buy food from farmers to have enough of it to feed the nation in case of war? This would surely help the economy as products perish in time. In soviet Poland they destroy bomb shelters to save money so I assume there are no food vaults. What products last longest btw?

Of course it should, or at least some amount of emergency stash. There is no military without logistics.
Here in the US we have Mormons that believe in food storage as part of their religion. So they make an easy source of bulk freeze dried and dehydrated foods for individuals. DHS (I think) put out an offer for bids on some ridiculous amount of it about a decade ago which got everybody all spooked, but I'm not sure if they bought all that.
Hard Tac, Pecans, Rice, Beans, iodine drops, salted and dried meats and fish. Fermented cabbage for bonus big boy brain.
No it shouldn't, that would just create market distortion that would eventually mean that when war actually breaks out, you don't have a supply chain to hook on to. Just leave it to markets and use it when you need it.
Also, distortion of the markets will leave you worse off in times of peace.
Why do you think we make so much processed food? When the wars start again we will be eating tasty burgers while everyone else starves
>tasty cancer
is funny because australian farmers sell to china for 10x profit of selling locally.
You're the guy who fucked up his eggs and toast.
Not today. Today I eat onions with pork like a king!
You should just tell the chinks you did a study and discovered that Australia is actually way over-full and they have to get out and if they want your food it's going to be 50x now.
I would've quickly cooked the pork or chopped it up and threw it in there.
>don't mind me i'll just chuck this big slice of ham into my onion soup
BRILLIANT
It's frozen. Won't chop shit.
Post recipe
Get yourself a George Foreman Grill. It works gr8 with frozen meat. You wouldn't even have to cook it all the way through but enough to chop up.
And it's electric, so no worries about evil scary cancerous char.
and he cooked his chicken hearts. in fucking water.
>What products last longest btw?
Dry beans last indefinitely as long as they stay dry.
how much did that cost "the pole"?
Why didn't you fry that chop first with some garlic gloves and butter? You'll make the meat soggy. You really can't cook for shit.
Close to half my stored food is dried beans and rice/oats/corn. I lived on mostly that for a few years, so I can confirm it works and doesn't make me hate it out of boredom.
Then the freeze dried and dehydrated works in some meat, fruits, veggies, and whatever else for a protein boost and nutritional variety.
wow in Canada that would cost like $12-14 depending on the sale flyer date
Kek those salty leafcucks got your bread trashed before. You need to make them a bit more political next time so that mods don't have a reason to delete them. Leads on suicide watch
If you simmer meat slowly in liquid it gets a lot more tender and the flavors of the dish blend better. Have you ever eaten a pot roast?
Yes but thats in a oven during a long time on a low temperature brainlet.
It's actually a paki leaf mod that ragedeletes legit canada is collapsing threads. The food price shit came up randomly and I've never seen leafs so triggered. Then Euros and Burgers join and take the triggering to the next level, like legit leafs have ragequit threads after being BTFOd with food prices.
He was defending you and it also melts in slow cooked soups it's ok pole bro
You can do it on the stove top too.
Good man. As long As you've got spices and sauces and shit there's a lot you can do with beans so you don't get bored with them. Also be careful with brown rice. It has trace amounts of oil that can go rancid after many years.
You are simmering it bro. That's how you make onion soup.
Markets distort themselves, where have you been living for the past 20 years ?
I was actually reading up on the Holodomor yesterday. Apparently Stalin starved the upper class, sent exports elsewhere, seized livestock etc.
Apparently if you had like 3 cows you were considered bourgeious in Ukraine at the time.
>paying 50zł for 150g cheese
There is, but I'm happy enough nothing more than maybe some salt or some of the lb or 2 of dried cayenne pepper I have (important medicinal properties there as well). I actually just plain like beans & rice, and things have a way of tasting good when you're hungry. A little something special now and again for desert or Sunday dinner and it's the good life.
And government intervention also distorts markets, where have you been living without a frontal lobe presumably your whole life?
Post in
And see how quickly you're accused of being "the pole"
wrong pic
That's the very point of an intervention, you liberal dimwit
Who was George Foreman?
They could just seize all farms in case of war.
Oh yes, the many successful interventions of government that didn't lead to distortion, presented by Mr. Frog.
Go ahead Mr. Frog.
A famous US boxer. He had five sons, each of whom was also named George. He made money later in life sponsoring a popular line of electric grills that made it easy to grill meat and whatever in dorm rooms, apartments, etc.
It's actually a really effective and versatile cooking device. It has bumps and troughs like a regular grill and it's on a slope so that the stuff that drips out during the grilling process drains out the bottom.
Holy fuck your dumb. You never watched your mom cook you mong?
It would be so much better if you chopped the meat into squares, fry it up and then add the veggies, this way all the flavour mix.
But you're gonna end up with tasteless watery sauce and a piece of tasteless boiled pork.
Completely haram.
>A FUCKING LEAF
Just a daily reminder to KYS before Trudeau does.
Fuck off dumb meme flag shit. I am polish just like this dumb faggot who can't cook if his life depended on it.
Now, wypierdalaj jebana szmato.
>butthurt leaf claims to be polish yet can't enable polish accents
pic related
>this is your home
if you were actually polish you'd flee canada
>szmato
Is that not a Yiddish word?
Except in wypierdalaj jebana szmato there are none. Not to mention they are called diacritics, not accents.
>t. had to google what polish accents on letters are
Sorry kid, you got the short end of the stick. Also don't let your rage at not being polish insta-rage-reply.
Dunno, pretty common word for "rag" in polish, can be used as an invective as well. Milder word would be ścierka, which can also be rendered offensive if you turn it into ściera and call someone that.
I don't know Polish, but it looked a lot like shmata, which is an English spelling for the Yiddish word meaning rag. I figured I'd take a swing because it is used as an insulting name to call somebody.
polish has a lot of yiddish words, what can we do
oy vej comes from o jej, every pole has some kike blood
Considering that Yiddish borrows much of it's vocab from German and Polish, it is very likely.
I wish we had Trump shaped ham.
how expensive is ham in the USA? $35/kg or more?
I haven't bought ham in a while, but deli ham on sale is usually something like $4/lb where I live. I picked up some racks of pork loin for less than $3/lb the other week when they were having a two-for-one sale.
>A FUCKING LEAF
trying to lecture us. LMFAO
$2-3 a pound for pork chops. Something like boneless tenderloin is $7-8
>ham
>$4/lb
>What products last longest btw?
Dog milk
>what my dude
>2 buckaroonis a pound my dude?
*beep beep*
>cya later my dudes!
>dog bless
In case you wonder: it's because nobody will drink the dog milk.
>What the fuck did you say?
That's a pretty funny joke toothpaste fren
Also you know Trudeau legalized raping your dog, right?
Hence the dog bless.

>What products last longest btw
Canned beans stored well can last 20-30 years, despite what's written on it.
The crazy amount of preservatives make it taste horrible though.
Regular dry beans can last 3-5 years if stored well.
Nr.1 product lasting longest is honey, it doesn't expire.
>buying canned beans
have rare as fuck orban btw
The problem with that is the meat juice and fat all spill out into the soup, so the meat itself is shitty. It's different you if you sear the meat. All non pleb pot roast recipes require you to sear off the meat.
Oh this is the same guy?

I'm lazy sometimes and it's good cold and not too frozen as well. No bully.

Stop posting your shitty pole meals, you shitty fucking pole. Why are you even taking photos of this unasthetic garbage?
>lol, look at my pan full of food that looks like poop!
>lol, look at my pickles on bread, with lard!
>lol, look, I'm actually eating a turd!
Absolutely, a lot of state governments did exactly that here during the cold war.
We still have a tunnel system in the middle of the state full of provisions stocked during the cold war, in fear of nuclear attack. Its often distrubted these days among homeless shelters and food shelves, its good to 2050 for most of it
He posts cheap, very healthy meals. You could literally breed and feed a dozzen kids a day. Problem is?
Oh right.
>CGDF doesn't like questioning $70/kg cheap presliced salami.
the perservatives in it make you live longer
Who in their right mind, not on government-supplied, fentany pays nearly $50/kg for basic bitch salami?
Salami and sausages in general bought in a store is famine food. The traditional recipie requires you to put all kinds of fat and connecting tissues in there to fill it up more. It's never not shit, no matter how much I spend on it. Whenever it's home made though it's done well because we only put meat+spices in it.
Never buy sausages.
I buy cheese usually for around 1500HUF/kg (~$5.50 USD) in 3,5 kg blocks.
You can stop using the memeflag btw.
we tried so hard making them in to real people...
Isn't Canadian bucks only half of the USD though?
I'm not any kind of christfag but I must admit many parts of Mormonism ( generally non - magical parts) make a lot of sense to me.
If you read about food preservation you will find a mountain of Mormon sources. Some of then were even absorbed into government sources to help with wartime shortages.
