depends what the investigation is. If it's very public official it's hard, most likely the prosecutors will draw the trial out and then either dismiss or hand out reduced sentences for the good ol' boys.

if it's not that high profile, it's unlikely you'll be charged or arrested depending how you're connected to the local system.
