One of the victims in the devastating limousine crash in upstate New York that killed 20 people Saturday was a State Senate employee.
Patrick Cushing was “an invaluable member of the Senate’s Technology Services unit based in Albany. He was an extraordinary employee and a wonderful young man who was loved by all,” Senate Majority Leader John J. Flanagan said in a statement, adding Cushing "will be greatly missed by his Senate family.”
The devastating crash occurred Saturday afternoon in Schoharie, near Albany, when the limo, carrying 18 people, crashed into a parked SUV.
Local officials told the Times Union of Albany that the limo was speeding down a hill when it hit bystanders at a store.
All occupants in the limo and two pedestrians were killed as a result of the crash.
Autopsies were being performed, including on the driver to see if drugs were alcohol were a factor. Authorities didn't say whether the limo occupants were wearing seat belts, give the speed of the limo or speculate what caused the limo to run the stop sign and slam into a parked SUV.
Relatives said the limousine was carrying four sisters and their friends to a 30th birthday celebration for the youngest.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to Patrick’s friends and family during this difficult time, and pray they find the strength necessary to remember all of the lives he touched in a positive way,” Flanagan said.

By logical deduction I believe the connection between the suspicious FBI informant aspect and the crash is that the FBI ensured that the informant's limo business was allowed to skate by any regulation or misconduct in order to preserve his status posing as a "wealthy business" during stings as has been described. If the car is recent, it has enough computerized components to take control of it in some manner. It's not the first time a vehicle was accelerated remotely.

It's entirely possible that they all died and there is little damage in pictures. The amount of g's involved in a deceleration from 60 MPH in an instant coupled with multiple projectiles of 200 lbs+, they likely all crushed each other to death with the uncontrollable force of their own bodies flying toward the front of the cabin.
