To understand this you need to understand Democrats. They are reactionary and only push for issues when there is enough momentum to ignite outrage. They were using Hogg and Goblina to push for gun control in the wake of a mass shooting, who then became the face of the innocent victims they claimed to represent. Only now there hasn't been any recent mass shooting with nationwide attention so Hogg and Emma faded into the background along with the Democrats push to take firearms.
Its kind of a recurrent theme with how Democrats operate. Kind of like how they were bitching about ICE putting children into "concentration camps" a while back. The outrage lost momentum and Democrats no longer care to advocate for those children and are instead focusing on the next big source of outrage, that being Kavanaugh and abortion.
