and saying that, unfortunately, diminishes the point that it is a figurine, it does not represent a person, it probably represents an ideal, idea or something. it's not a statue of Suzie from the other side of the cave.
so in terms of our discussion, the idea of cultural appropriation is fundamentally dismissed by the existence of the figurine. whatever colour the people who made her were, their descendents are what are known today as white. thus this proves that braiding hair is also white, culturally speaking.
