They make the age-old mistake of rooting for a losing team and trying to justify that team's actions through their own 21st century slave morality.

Take the Holocaust, which those guys deny because it would make the Germans seem evil from a slave morality point of view. The logical, un-emotional view of the Holocaust is that the Germans at the time thought it was an expedient, efficient and politically necessary measure to exterminate the Jews in Europe. Why did they think that?

1. Because Jews across the world were inciting countries against Germany. Keeping most Jews alive until 1941 had not been enough to prevent this from happening, so a good reason to keep them alive had disappeared.
2. It is expensive, in wartime, to provide food and housing for millions of people. It was cheaper and easier to kill the Jews than to let them live. Economic efficiency has always been important in German politics.
3. The Jews were considered a hostile element. When nearly all of your army is in Russia, the act of hoarding millions of hostile elements (and more every day) in camps between your homeland and the front line is a disaster waiting to happen.
4. They had already been exterminating the severely disabled for several years, and had developed gassing by carbon monoxide (basically, a van's exhaust funneled into its closed-off cargo compartment) as a way to deal with it.
5. Germany had well-developed chemical companies, including a pest control company called Degesch which still exists to this day and produced an excellent closed-space fumigant called Zyklon B (after the war, it was renamed Cyanosil).

Look up Robert Faurisson and Ursula Haverbeck on the gas chambers and concentration camps. The Einsatzgruppen (and their Slavic collaborators) did exterminate whole communities however, I haven't seen any contradiction on that claim other than the exact number at Babi Yar.

Yeah, the idea of millions being thrown down the gas chamber to bread oven pipeline is pretty silly. I believe they exterminated a lot of Jews on the Eastern Front, but the whole Death Camp thing is almost entirely fantasy.
