With white guys going after Asian women it really is more to do with Asian women being perceived as being better to deal with, though. It's easier for both beta and non-beta males to deal with; the former gets to feel life a "real man" by getting with a demure Asian, and the normal guy just doesn't have to deal with a "daddy's little princess" entitled white woman. It's not a status symbol to go for Asians when white women are already the top of the mountain physically and there's really no "fuck you" factor as there isn't really a white vs Asian rivalry.
