Trumps "stupid man" act?

During the Nixon era, a Machiavellian tactic was employed with great effect, changing contemporary politics as we know it. H.R Haldeman, then chief of staff, called it the Madman theory. When Nixon rose to power in 1969, the administration indicated to the USSR that a Madman was loose, and hastily prepared the united states military apparatus for full global war, bombers armed too with thermonuclear weapons headed for the Soviet border and flew patterns for three consecutive days, the Soviets were more than a little uncomfortable about this. This tactic relies on the presumption that your enemies would rather step lightly and cooperate than risking the potentially disastrous effects of a madman's mental breakdown, the tactic is an attempt at disguising one's true intentions, the chaotic nature of this keeps enemies of the state on their toes and constantly guessing.

If you fast forward to today I believe Trump employs a similar tactic, evidenced by the North Korean foreign policy choices and not so vague threats, insults, and dick measuring contests he has engaged in that inexplicably have lead to a new treaty with NK. There is, however, another facet to trumps act, not only does he appear mad, but he goes out of his way to appear stupid. That's a strange thought at first, why would a world leader WANT to appear stupid? Most would assume that would be a rather detrimental role to assume, however as I see it, what I've named "Stupid Man theory" has some potential benefits, many of them hit right at the heart of another antiquated political text, one that is perhaps more influential Machiavellis writing; Sun Tzu's the art of war.

Tzu's belief was that all warfare was based on deception, and for one to be victorious they needed to embrace this deception.

"when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy
believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak. - Sun Tzu

The objective is to manipulate your enemy into believing you are something you are not, or in the case of the Stupid Man theory, manipulate them into underestimating your ability rather than just fearing your chaotic nature. Whether you like Trump or not, his life has the hallmarks of success and success doesn't often come to those who are stupid. Since he has begun his campaign, he has been consistently underestimated by his political enemies and many of his allies, surpassing all expectations that people had for him.

Few thought he would be the republican nominee, and then he became the nominee. Few people thought he would become president, yet he became president. Few people thought his economic plan would work, yet Americans economy is better than ever. Few people thought he could cool tensions with north korea, and yet he has. Many people have thought so little of him for so long, yet every time he surpasses expectations they seem to be surprised, why? Its a motif of his political carreer, and perhaps they should begin to anticpate his success, rather than his downfall. Esepcailly given that the mid term elections are on the horizon.

I predict he will do far better than anyone anticipates at the mid terms, especially with the new energy imbued in republican voters as a result of the Kavanaugh fiasco

nope, he really just is stupid
/thread

How stupid can someone really be if they succeed as much as Trump has?

I do it. Works.

It's all 5D chess to distract people from how stupid he really is.

>/thread on your own post
>Calling someone stupid
user, I..

Good post straya

Checked and red-pilled!!!

he only became a billionaire so people wouldn't be able to tell he is a dummy

Way to blow his cover. Delet this

only people with an iq over 120 knew what Trump was doing

Maybe they could use their wealth to hire smart people to advise them.

I recommend doubters to pull old Trump interviews from the '80s and '90s and note the difference in speaking level. I am very much convinced that his idiocy is all an act since he came across as extremely intelligent in the past. The only other alternative is that he suffered some sort of brain damage, but I simply do not believe that a brain damaged businessman could outplay the entire political establishment.

shameless self bump

The other benefit from stupidity, whatever he is shown as or he really is, is that most mutts are uneducated are stupid af. If you show cleverness then the voters would think he is not one of us, and inferior (in an intellectual context) always at least worry if not fear to superior.
To gain support from mass plebs, you have to behave like them, which again proved that deplorables are easy to be manipulated.

To add to this, the intelligentia and embedded political establishment put trump and thus his supporters down for his/their intelligence. This kind of behavior is terrible PR for them, and strengthens the support for trump immensely, trumps voters are fiercely loyal, while the leftist voters are incredibly disloyal, seeing most of the establishment left as bourgeois. Many of them really only allied with them out of convenience and would love a chance at destroying the establishment left.

yeah well of course m8.
The cunt is on fire.
It is simply not possible to win consistently like he has in one of the most competitive environments on earth (USA political area) without being able to out outmaneuver everyone and the main way to do that is through deception.

This.

Norm McDonald said the exact same thing.
>Want people to like you? Act like you are slightly dumber than them. No one likes someone smarter than them.

most stupid people think they're smart and therefor don't listen to advice

There is the secret to why the rich are rich. They pay the insecure smart guy to make them richer.

I remember reading the same thing about Reagan.
He asked his advisors what the Soviets thought of him any they said, "they think you're a cowboy who's going to start world war 3."
So once a month Reagan scrambled the Strategic Air Command and sent the bombers over the North pole, turning back just before Soviet airspace.
Shook up the Reds, to say the least...

Exactly, yet many people still seem completely unaware of just how successful trump has been at achieving his goals. This is fascinating to me. Despite his continual success, he is still not taken seriously. I mean lets look at the goals he had at the beginning of his campaign and see if it holds true

>Isis nearly completely destroyed
>NK situation has cooled off
>Hugely successful immigration crackdown
>Jump started the economy
>Pretty much overhauled the court system

and we're only at the fucking mid term, imagine what he could do with another 4 fucking years. If he keeps this up there is no god damn way the dems will win at the 2020 elections, I also have a feeling trump is probably holding on to some very unsavory information to use against the democrats in 2020.

>implying that outsourcing laborious intellectual decisions isnt intelligent as fuck

The smartest people in the world know that there are people who know better than them on the right subjects, and they all do their best to surround themselves with them.

He’s 70.

For the loyalty of Trump supporters, it may also related to their authoritarian personality:

Evidence based logical thinking has become almost impossible in the US for a variety of reasons, the cost is beyond average Joe's capacity. Human beings are naturally lazy and logical reasoning is naturally hard.
A theory of jury selection when defendant solicitor excludes some to benefit his client is to kick out rural farmers, labours and small business owners as these people tend to follow authorities which against the nature of jury's job.

>most mutts are uneducated are stupid af
You mean to tell us that you think that the average mutt is dumber and less educated than the average aussie lmfao. The mount of dumb aussies Ive met m8.

Yeah it requires a certain line of thinking and risk taking. I doesn't always require IQ points.

When you realize Stormy and McDougals job is to make North Korea think Trump would bomb the shit out of NK to wag the dog and get them off the mews you begin to realize how smart Trump is.

Stormy is back in the news and will cresendo until Iran caves.

Item 3 should be "illegal immigration", he hasn't changed any legal immigration scheme, yet.
Item 5 is not true. The Justice system runs exactly same as before.
Some of his goals are missing:
>Appeal Obama Care
>Let Mexicans pay for the wall
>Bring back manufacturing jobs
The third one is partially relived by a booming economy.

>nope, he really just is stupid
-user about himself

>justice system is exactly the same as before

Except its full of republican judges at all levels which is a huge win for republicans.

He hasnt changed the legal immigration system yet but he has still had a highly successful anti-illegal immigration crackdown and I think we will see strong legislative change in the coming months as well, especially given trumps ever stronger grip on the judicial system which was the primary apparatus by which the democrats were fighting him on immigration.

I think given time trump will succeed at the 3 items you've listed, bringing back manufacturing jobs is reliant on how his trade war with china goes and how securing better trade deals goes, the US position is only strengthened as time goes on so we'll see how that plays out over the next two years. If he gets a second term then I think he'll have no trouble succeeding.

also yes you were right, I should have put illegal immigration.

You don't become the leader of the most powerful country in the world by being stupid. Trump speaks with less vocabulary than other presidents, but he isn't 'stupid'. Not only did he manage to get almost half of voters to vote for him, he managed to beat all other politcal candidates who have have years if not decades of experience working in politics - and then you have the fact that the guy still won even though all the media, elite, celebrities, and establishment did everything in their power to destroy him.

Duh thats why its 99D chess.

it's funny how yuppie faggots who pride themselves in their intellect can't see this

How are there still people confused on why Trump supporters are loyal?

what exactly has trump done to be "successful"?

>inherited $450M and is barely worth that much 40-50 years later. would be multibillionaire if he just invested in the markets
>"house always wins" - unless you are trump. managed to do the mathematically impossible and bankrupt casinos! lmao
>trained by roy cohn of the CIA to run sex blackmail rings
>given cocaine distribution for CIA in the northeast / russian money laundering
>all his buddies like epstein end up getting busted, everyone knows about donnie molesting underage kids. he was trained in this shit and couldn't pull it off
>repeatedly houses people busted for cocaine trafficking in trump tower, often for free, in order to keep them quiet. had to get bailed out of one case by his fuckin sister, destroying her reputation as a judge

this man is the epitome of failure by all accounts

And yet peace with North Korea.
It’s like the left wing hate peace, no wonder they were funding Isis and selling uranium to russia

did you just "i know you are but what am i" him?

>what exactly has trump done to be "successful"?

LOL I dunno maybe being President of the most powerful country in the world?

Jesus christ Democrats are truly 80 IQ idiots. That's the greatest thing though, it makes it so easy to beat you.

Cool, how do you propose we should run the us?

oh right, by this metric nigger obama and durrrr bush are great too

kys faggot

This. It's the ultimate tactic. You pretend to be stupid while making brilliant plays and establishing success all to hide the fact that you actually are stupid. Of course underneath that you're brilliant. But then underneath that you're stupid again.

LOL being President of the most powerful country in the world isn't successful?

Just lmao thank god our enemies are so fucking stupid.
