Do you want to know why the NPC meme hits them so hard?
Leftism in general relies explicitly on the notion that their ideas of "progress" and "reason" contrast with a dumb right wing populace which is told what to think. The liberal envisions the old backwards farmer in Idaho as representing right wing beliefs, and they believe they're the ones who have intelligence and agency because they believe they've educated themselves enough to not just be told what to think as ironic as that is.
This is why the liberal can't comprehend the increasing amount of young people who resist them, especially when they're educated on their bullshit and destroy their beliefs in front of them. Yes, those same beliefs they thought they were special for cultivating in contrast to their image of the old uneducated rural conservative. In function, their beliefs are just an expression of hipsterdom in the modern world that wanks over self consciousness and image. Which is why getting through to them that their beliefs and behavior are actually extremely common and enforced on them is a death knell for their insecurities. The liberal hipster values above all else their special independence, and liberalism no longer provides that and they're learning it slowly(see the lefties spiraling off into increasingly obscure movements or walking away from politics altogether).
1. NPCs lack an inner voice 2. NPCs are not aware they are NPCs 3. NPCs are ultimately superficial 4. NPCs are hardwired to their script. They can make incremental improvements to their script but cannot fundamentally reprogram themselves. 5. NPCs react negatively when confronted with off-script ideas, situations, and environment. 6. NPCs fall in with the crowd by default. 7. NPCs believe their actions and reactions are organic and spontaneous. 8. NPCs are like drones executing their predetermined subroutines. 9. NPCs can be at odds with each other if their coding puts them in different factions. 10. NPCs tend to be tribal, both emotionally and intellectually.
npc thing is a thing where virtue signalling, where the emotions around appearance, instead of content are the most important things. They get angry when you dont try to indulge them, or you yourself bathe in this combination of artificial faggotry.
>Voter registrations among young Americans shot up in the wake of pop megastar Taylor Swift's Instagram post urging her 112 million Instagram followers to get out the vote. >Vote.org says nearly 65,000 Americans ages 18 to 29 registered to vote in the roughly 24 hours after the singer-songwriter's social media rallying cry. >That surge in young registrations far exceeded the combined total of every other age group in the same period, in which about 40,000 Americans ages 30 and up registered.

Where is the proof that its hitting hard? i only see the same screencaps of twitter being repeated
Anthony Myers
Political correctness in a nutshell. They're shaming people into turning off their natural abilities to recognize patterns and to categorize and order things and other people. Then you see shit about the Germans wanting to put oxytocin in their water supplies to further retard people into accepting dangerous creatures into their midst.
I have noticed that NPCs are horrified if you ( non-NPC ) even look at or hear information from somewhere other than approved sources for any reason and will harass you until you stop.
I always assumed that it was that they learned everything by indoctrination and having no ability to reason if you are exposed to a counter idea then you will adopt it without choice.
Levi Sanders
Each time I read these threads, I'm reminded that I have an inner voice. Does that mean I was an NPC before?
Does anyone else forget about their inner voice? Does that mean I'm not thinking in it?
Isaac Sanders
another thing that npc's have...isnt it kinda the different between
>bare minimum amount of thoughs/lore and their puppet masters giving them tiny lines of code, to expand to them. Instead where a real person may try to pursue >excessive amounts of thoughts/lore by reading books, by trying to comprehend other viewpoints, by listening to many people
I mean, isnt that a difference between us and them? Us being able to operate independently if we desire so. But their books, and their teachers, and their thoughts and their "advancements" are from other people purely, where as we use other people mostly for communication.

In many ways couldn't it be powerful to be a highly tuned NPC?

>no proof >Consensus cracking post
If anybody is curious, go look for "npc" posts on Twitter. Nobody posted about it before this week and there are only a handful of posts about it at all.
Isaac Bailey
NPCs always control the narratives in video games. The PC is strung along for the experience. Who's the real puppet now?
This has nothing to do with one's spirit or having a soul, even though those metaphors are useful. The reality is much scarier and more sinister.
All of us are programmed in some way, and all of us still have at best a good chunk of that programming still making up our core personalities. The best that can be said is that we have been changing and shifting that programming as new information is gained, deleting knee-jerk reactions and controlling our emotional hooks so that we can absorb and be critical of information that is contrary to parts of that programming.
We are, personality wise, at the most basic level a set of algorithms. Some of these are biologically programmed and part of our species' development (the drive to have and rear the next generation of children consists of many biological imperatives that form the overall arc of "rear children"), while the rest of them are developed during childhood into adolescence (nature/nurture, even though "nurture" is a laughable misnomer).
Jayden Campbell
Oh, to add to this. Twitter encourages the NPC phenomenon by limiting the length of people's responses, and by conditioning people to have short attention spans. If you can't cram it into 140-280 characters, whatever the limit is at now, then it isn't worth reading.
Ryan Myers
Isn't this what they tell themselves about their atheism and leftism? This fag doesn't realize he's staring directly at a mirror, he can't recognize his own reflection. Sad.
kek, this all started because of that stupid article about some people not having an inner monologue and you all turned it into something to piss them off I love you faggots
And news articles are mostly just about the title now. You're lucky to find someone who reads the article and not just the title.

The development of our core personalities and algorithms has been hijacked to build a "framework" upon which later programming can be laid without the mind questioning it. The process is insidious and takes years (roughly from post-toddler to highschool I would think) of preparation, whereupon the NPC programs can be installed by late highschool and universities with very minimal resistance.
The three major creators of the Framework are the media, schools and parents. Because the parents already have the Framework dictating the majority of their algorithms, they perpetuate the process and the media and schools do the rest.
Be very careful here - people do not become teachers because they want to corrupt and program the youth. The altruism and desire to inspire are genuine -- they are simply run within the teacher's own pre-programmed Framework so that even if the curricula are obviously going to contribute to the Programming, they can't see it and teach it believing they are doing the right thing for the youth in their classrooms.

The Jewish Golem is the system of power and internet. Remove the "E" from it's forehead to kill it. "E" = Electricity
NPCs are golems, or daemons or agents of the Golem. Their job is to maintain it's systems and preserve the "E" by any means necessary.
The only way for humans to win the war and stop the NPCs, Golem and Jews is to cut off the power and internet. It will be harsh, but humans will survive while the rest will die.
Stop your soulless pursuit of convenience and technology and help to bring down the global power and internet grid. It's the only way humanity can survive.
Descartes recanted on cogito ergo sum. Eventually coming to believe Sum ergo Cogito. How do you think Grace factors into this? The ability to tap into the infinite and from within that vast possibility produce something concrete.
It's a manufactured meme trying to direct the herd. Notice how all of these threads are trying to establish what traits in a person to dismiss because they're an "npc"?
Joshua Fisher
There is no such thing as free will. Choice is simply an illusion of the deterministic slight of hand.

Wrong, this is something I've been pondering for many years. It started with "do other people think about why they think the way they do?". You and this nigger are desperately trying to subvert the subversion, it won't work :^).

Dragon's Dogma is a modern prophecy, not just vidya.
Partially true. It won't work though. This meme has power beyond imagination. The cognitive dissonance will rip the herd apart.

I hope people are finding this interesting.
Anyway the point is that each new generation's programming becomes easier and more complete because the generation before it is programmed to help perpetuate it further. That's why 15 years ago when I went to a university, the environment was completely different than it is today; the framework that my generation was subjected to was not yet sophisticated enough that we could be programmed to the extent the generation now in colleges are. It required my generation to be programmed to teach our world views to our children and prepare them for their own programming. Consider child rearing advice now versus twenty years ago... A friend of my wife's was actually HUGGING her toddler son when he hit her because she read that she should "meet anger and violence with love"! Are you fucking kidding me?
Every piece of parenting advice I've read in every magazine or on any website in the last 5 years has been the most retarded advice I can imagine, from Parents' Magazine urging its upper middle class yuppie readership that it's okay to outsource parenting (!?!?!??!!!) to an article in the New York Times asserting that if you yell at your child it is because you are weak.
It's all part of the programming. If I follow any of this advice my son will turn into a hypernarcissistic little fucker with a completely egocentric worldview and the fervent belief that he can literally do no wrong. It's the PERFECT framework to lay down the exact programming we see in NPCs today, maybe even more extreme.
Joshua Cruz
True, but it can and will be controlled to prevent free exchange, at which point it needs to be destroyed.
Replace the MAGA hat with some greasy green and purple hair and you'd have a proper meme.
Brody Perez
>stop making fun of me and I'll like your meme Umm, no sweetie

What? How is that even possible? Like, you never ever thought to yourself? How do you even do anything then? How do you plan, how do you organize your life? WTF

The main question I have with NPCs is how do they read silently if they don't have an internal monologue?
According to OP's picture containing a leddit post, it seems like NPC's can become human beings like you and me if something "clicks" in their mind. They can be awakened. How do we awaken the NPC?
Benjamin Jenkins
I never owned either of these things. I can smell your greasy green and purple hair from here though.
Nathan Williams
topkek this needs to be shilled on twatter
Eli Adams
Wrong. NPCs have no human driver inside.
Chase Clark
Get them to ask questions like "why do I have this opinion on this particular subject?". It's work, so only spend the time on people that are worth the time.
Hunter Jenkins
1/2 When you think about the world - the big picture - (when you engage in the activity of world-modeling) it is an internal process composed of external data and personalized perspective or interpretation. When you recieve new external data, you begin to assimilate it into the model you have already composed: you test it against prior data to see if it contradicts anything, you evaluate whether it elaborates on or fundamentally alters anything, and you see "where" it fits in to the whole. An example: you see an article about how most people do not have an inner voice. In your world-model, everyone had an inner voice (projecting your own experience in the absence of contradictory data). You decide whether this new (contradictory) information has more validity than the previous assumption by weighing the sources against each other. If you accept the new information as true, you overwrite the obsolete information, and re-evaluate any tangential aspects of the larger world-model. If you miss something, and it comes up later, you will experience an uncomfortable feeling of cognitive dissonance until it is resolved. What happens when a person who does not possess an internal world-model encounters new information? It varies, depending on what external source(s) they have chosen as their model-makers. If they have only one source (or a few which are all in complete agreement), and it disagrees with the new information, then that information is automatically disregarded *unless their source tells them to react to it in a specific manner.* (ie it could also tell them to be actively hostile towards it.) If they have a few sources, all of which give them differing opinions on the new information, they may respond in several ways: go with whichever source they see first, choose one based on randon varianle criteria, ignore the information entirely until all sources come to agreement, eliminate a source which disagrees with the rest, etc.

Same here I was believing it was the decline of religion in society that possably there was a huge amount of people who needed a religion since they have adopted so many political ideas and crazy things and believe them as much as a religion
but the NPC theory works just as well
Luis Scott
Are you retarded? You realize deaf people can read, right? They just interpret meaning directly from the visual rather than translating it to sound first.
Charles Sanchez
>Awaken NPC's You don't. It isn't possible.
Ryan Morales
Yeah because this poster definitely isn't a neckbeard. If he had posted that shit here 3 years ago before you reddit fags invaded Jow Forums he would've gotten multiple "tips fedora" replies like he deserves. You're so wrapped up in your politics that you're defending a literal fedoralord
Is it strange that my inner voice is in English? When the majority of time I speak in Bulgarian(with others).
Chase Morris
There is a difference between brainwashed humans and NPCs. You can redpill humans, you can't redpill NPCs.
Camden Gonzalez
user this theory is actually pretty interesting. I think it holds true considering Im a little less modern leaning than other people my age. For example I am pro spanking/yelling at the kid if hes doing something bad. This likely has to do with >Parents are older than the average parent of people my age >Dad's dad left him, so he was raised by his grandparents who were members of the lost generation (from around ww1) >Dad would get the yard stick out if we did something bad >Mom likewise Also against the idea that a child should just be given a light box to entertain them instead of actually taking responsibility for the kid The programming thing is true to some degree at least, itll be interesting to see how my kids will compare to other members of my generation
Adam Brooks
That's not your inner voice, that's just Juden Peterstein telling you to wash your dick. He doesn't speak Bulgarian.
Parker Turner
Can someone post one (1) well conducted study with a sample size of 300 or greater proving that some people don't have an inner monologue? I'll wait.
Gabriel Hernandez
How do the blind visualize the world, how does a blind person who is blind from birth picture their surroundings? What about people who are deaf and blind? What about people who are deaf and blind and numb? What percentage of people could draw a small object after only touching it in a controlled manner where they can't see it?
Kayden Scott
Did you read the text of OP's pic related? The NPC began thinking after it had never had an internal monologue. How do you explain that except as an awakening?
Julian Mitchell
That recent Steven Crowder video is a perfect example of a NPC being exposed
Justin James
>thread t. NPC cultist anonymous
Joshua Perry
I think you might be hallucinating.
John Sanders
I didn't know that the (((INDIVIDUAL))) was inside me. How does he do it?
Andrew Edwards
This is something I've been thinking about for a long time, like it's pretty hard to imagine someone in China thinking in Chinese, or maybe some other ridiculously long winded language. Could it be that since majority of people don't have an inner voice that this is possible?
Luis Roberts
Have you tried? How many times have you tried? Were you unsuccessful? Perhaps you just don't know what you're doing.
Gabriel Lopez
2/2 *This does not often happen.* The majority of external world-model sources provide consensus to one another. These include: movies, television shows, professors, politicians, scientists, news pundits, etc. It is extremely rare that a person who utilizes external world-modeling would encounter a situation where their model-sources are in disagreement. If all external sources agree, the new data is automatically accepted or rejected depending on these sources.
Jayden Butler
That person wasn't an NPC, but probably a bluepilled human. NPCs can not be redpilled.
Carter Young
That is not what an internal monologue means you tard.
Means that you do not have a internal voice to examine or question your actions, not just to read what is on the page
How do people without language think? What are the thoughts of a child who hasn't learned a language yet like? What about the few people who grow up in a situation where they never learn to speak, total isolation either wilderness or imprisonment?
Kayden Sanders
Pro-tip, it's not going to be destroyed. There will be no civil war, no WWIII. PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH
Leo Walker
I've been redpilling people for 25 years user.
Jason Perez
Answer or fuck off, thanks.

Some big titted idiot I follow on Instagram had this on her story this morning. She’s a left wing idiot (vegan, special pronouns, gets “triggered”, is a “survivor of sexual assault”, believes in astrology)
All of that is to say this: When an NPC is confronted with a viewpoint, idea or set of factual data that conflicts with the preset presumptions of the Framework, the reaction is a PROGRAMMED response. I honestly do not think it is normal that an educated adult would react to a dissenting idea with a knee jerk emotional reaction and ad-hominem attack. Critical thinking is dangerous to the core framework and initial programming so failsafes had to be put in place. The programming is so effective that even objective empirical data is declared a "racist fact" and dismissed because the programmed reaction is so powerful that it overrides any ability whatsoever to analyze the data itself.
THAT is the horrible truth of what an NPC actually is, and the Kotaku article linked in the last thread is a defense against a direct attack on the core programming written either by someone who themselves is utterly subservient to their programming or by someone who knows exactly what they are doing by defending it.
The next step in that line of thought is that if the author of the piece is the former, he/she is hopelessly programmed - not once does the article actually ask WHY people on Jow Forums are using this particular metaphor, it simply makes the assumption (as it knows its programmed readership will) that Jow Forums and anything from it are horrible, etc. ad-hominems and logical fallacies. Through confirmation bias the programming is reinforced for the readers.
The scary thing is that someone along Kotaku's corporate ladder (be that within Kotaku or up to the head of Univision who sits on the Bilderberg Group) KNOWS and has hired the author precisely because he or she will reinforce the programming for everyone who reads any articles they write.
Carter Brown
You can use your own brain and observations for this stuff you brainlet. >hurrr i need a peer reviewed study to tell me what to think

MY GOD COULD user BE RIGHT??

It's like religion. A religious person will be terrified of non-approved sources and thoughts not only because he was taught to, but also because subconsciously he knows that it might lead to his whole worldview collapsing.
Alexander Barnes
Of course its going to be destroyed. Do you have any idea how vulnerable it is? A highly mobile guy with a Mosin and a shovel could shoot out power substations and dig up and cut fiber lines all over the place. It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN.
Jayden Stewart
I remember thinking as a kid it was simple and very instinctual. Things like my parents fighting I would understand that there's fighting and I just had this feeling that I should fuck off and get as far away as possible. I think language is definitely important for structuring thoughts.
Ryder Hughes
>but also because subconsciously he knows that it might lead to his whole worldview collapsing.
I don't think this is it, from what I've seen they're worried their god will hurt them somehow for being a blasphemer.
Brayden Young
yeah man, religious people are sheep. they mustn't portray their personal belief in public services, that's oppresive to me.
Noah Rodriguez
BINGO THIS
Isaiah Powell
Depends. A common technique for learning a new language is to get in a habit of thinking in that language.
