Because the people (not all like me who happens to be a 6 ft 3 chad with blond hair and blue eyes) are often not quite popular in school and they gravitate to non mainstream cultures and it just so happens the non mainstream sub culture of anime goes well with non mainstream ideology's because the person has to find everything in their life to be non mainstream so whether or not they started liking anime before or after becoming a fascists doesn't matter.
