OP of 1st bread by user:

Do you want to know why the NPC meme hits them so hard?

Leftism in general relies explicitly on the notion that their ideas of "progress" and "reason" contrast with a dumb right wing populace which is told what to think. The liberal envisions the old backwards farmer in Idaho as representing right wing beliefs, and they believe they're the ones who have intelligence and agency because they believe they've educated themselves enough to not just be told what to think as ironic as that is.

This is why the liberal can't comprehend the increasing amount of young people who resist them, especially when they're educated on their bullshit and destroy their beliefs in front of them. Yes, those same beliefs they thought they were special for cultivating in contrast to their image of the old uneducated rural conservative. In function, their beliefs are just an expression of hipsterdom in the modern world that wanks over self consciousness and image. Which is why getting through to them that their beliefs and behavior are actually extremely common and enforced on them is a death knell for their insecurities. The liberal hipster values above all else their special independence, and liberalism no longer provides that and they're learning it slowly(see the lefties spiraling off into increasingly obscure movements or walking away from politics altogether).

bump

some traits of NPCs discussed in threads.

Feel free to suggest edits/removals/additions.

1. NPCs lack an inner voice
2. NPCs are not aware they are NPCs
3. NPCs are ultimately superficial
4. NPCs are hardwired to their script. They can make incremental improvements to their script but cannot fundamentally reprogram themselves.
5. NPCs react negatively when confronted with off-script ideas, situations, and environment.
6. NPCs fall in with the crowd by default.
7. NPCs believe their actions and reactions are organic and spontaneous.
8. NPCs are like drones executing their predetermined subroutines.
9. NPCs can be at odds with each other if their coding puts them in different factions.
10. NPCs tend to be tribal, both emotionally and intellectually.

>reposting, since I accidentally posted in the dead thread

I genuinely don't think that a majority of the human population is made up of soulless husks, simply because that would require a huge leap in supernatural/science defying logic. That being said, the response to the NPC meme is fucking creepy. Never before have I seen so many people, not just on Jow Forums but on Twitter and Reddit respond with such vitriolic hatred to this meme. Everywhere it pops up, a dozen or so people respond with the exact same pool of insults
>Jow Forumstard
>incel
>forced meme
It's almost like an automated response. A lot of them try to compare it to the boomer meme, but the difference is that the boomer meme was embraced by the very people it mocked (which is how it died out). Boomers accepted who they were and instead of attacking the meme, they themselves began to love it. These people who constantly attack NPC memes do not understand that the more they attack it, the stronger it grows. I mostly think the angry response is entirely due to the fact that a bunch of people came to the realization that they aren't as special or unique as they thought they were.

I genuinely think that a large majority of individuals attacking this meme are classified as NPCs themselves, as in they think in abstract images and concepts and not with inner monologue. It's like going your whole life thinking that you're a unique person, part of some resistance or fighting for an independent cause, only to be told that you are part of a somewhat bellow average majority that tends to follow group think easier, of course you'd get fucking angry. It's a shame that we'll never have more research done on this phenomenon, considering how many (((individuals in high places))) have accidentally classified NPCs as equal to SJWs. I wish more researchers would look into this because it's a fascinating piece of science.

Reminder: NPC posting is a psyop.

Here is your call to violence; Told you faggots.

>guy says that agreeing blindly to a political ideology is npc behavoir
> "NERD" "FASCIST"
Literally an automated response not missing the entire point of the initial statement, but actually proving the NPC theory correct. Jesus how deep does this rabbit hole go?

Jow Forums is a board of peace. NPCs may try to bury this meme by larping as violence advocating autist. Also Kotaku author is trying to gender bait.

NPCs are not exclusive to one gender.

Jow Forums is a tolerant community.

An organised shill squad has been working these threads all day. They keep saying "consensus cracking" like they don't realize it makes them glow in the dark.

Someone needs to update the firmware on these NPCs so they can learn new vocabulary.

This is a hypothetical question, I repeat this is hypothetical!

Suppose I have an idea to insert some code of our own into a NPC, would that be evil and can I never ever publish that idea, or would you participate in my experiment?

>That being said, the response to the NPC meme is fucking creepy. Never before have I seen so many people, not just on Jow Forums but on Twitter and Reddit respond with such vitriolic hatred to this meme.

I think it's a predictable response. You are essentailly de-humanizing people on large scale. It's fundamentally no different from racistic supremacism. It just goes against the worldview of most regular folk. The western society, in the end, is built upon a foundation of equal opportunity, with the subtext that everyone within the society is equally human.

Why do you think it such a leap?

Animals don't have an inner voice. Why would you expect all humans to?

Keep trying and maybe you'll get it. Are you going to post your "scientific study" again or the spirited away website?

>Here is your call to violence; Told you faggots.
First day on Jow Forums? There is calls to violence in almost every fucking thread. I've read people calling for the death of every pepsi drinker. People posting that fat people should be gassed. People that wear tight jeans should be beaten to death etc.

Attached: 1534149106485.jpg (1875x1889, 196K)

Anyone in a position of power is programming NPCs simply by existing. NPCs are herd animals who will believe what they are told to believe.
You can only program an NPC if you hold power, are seen as the dominant cultural force. Even the best propaganda in the world can't influence an NPC if the propaganda is wielded by someone who has no power over them.

Especially considering that this is Jow Forums, where it's common knowledge that the races and sexes are not equal and that there are significant psychological differences between them.

Could this meme ironically cause some redeemable NPCs to wake up and "break the conditioning" as AJ would say

Turning a bunch of fags into sociopaths and sicking them on an enemy they believe to be non-sentient is a lot fucking different than hating somebody who believes people that wear tight jeans should be dead.

I asked a hypothetical question, just take it as fact that there is a way to do it, should we?

No joke, in 1979 I had this same theory figured out to explain why some people simply don't have any deep interest nor concerns about the world around them.

You can't program them until your ideology/faction controls society, so it's pointless to even talk about it. There is nothing immoral about programming NPCs, if that's what you mean. Without programming they'd just sit there and starve. Without programming they'd approach a hungry lion.

You mean, exactly as this meme is attempting to do.

>Jow Forums is a cancer

Attached: iDeKvpXM.jpg (400x400, 42K)

There's only so many souls, so when there's too many bodies they are just pure instinct. Real zombies.

You just lack imagination, there is a way, the question is, these are mostly happy people, would it be immoral to add some code of our own which would probably make them unhappy.

Reminder: the hostility to this meme is completely fake.

(((They))) have been trying to shut it down since it appeared. First they panicked and tried to censor it.

That didn't work so they are shilling every thread with spook lingo like "consensus cracking" and pretending they are worried the meme is too potent and could get people killed.

Another favourite is the this-totally-isnt-funny-please-stop attack. Must be pretty funny if you're monitoring the threads full time.

Attached: jew_whos_that.png (454x340, 217K)

Tell me again how you're so much more enlightened than everybody around you.

Just one person my duder. Don't be upset I won't let you spout your shit uncontested.

Attached: 1417577605936.gif (240x180, 1.04M)

>You just lack imagination, there is a way
No, there isn't. They are herd animals that believe what it is socially convenient to believe. It is literally impossible to convince an NPC that 2 + 2 = 4 if the media and government and everything that provides for and commands them is telling them that 2 + 2 = 5.

>equal opportunity
Are they still telling this lie?

I thought leftists admit they want "equity" now, i.e. unequal opportunity to force equal outcomes.

>The universe has true randomness to it that changes. That is the chaos of the world, the same chaos that produces free will.
What you just said is an argument used AGAINST free will.
If everything is governed by randomness or not dictated by things like biology or environment like determinism claims, then you're choices aren't really choices but impulses and impulses are urges, actions, you have no control over.
You aren't making a conscious free choice, you're being victim of an impulse.
If there is no motivation, no influences, no previous experiences that lead you to making a certain choice, than that is no choice at all and just a random mindless action.

No. NPCs can't wake up.

Bluepilled normies will start waking up when they realise they are surrounded by subhuman automatons.

i hate this guy with such a passion.

>than that is no choice at all and just a random mindless action.

But it's not random mindless action. You may experience seemingly random impulses to do perform a certain action. An addict gets urges to use his drug of choice. With free will, he is able to disregard these urges instead of following them instinctually.

Why are these NPC threads started showing up when I started wondering if I'm just playing stupid game of life that I set up to be pretty challenging? Is this an engine trying to keep me in illusion that it's actually not a game by saying openly it's a game?

Cecilia please leave us alone btw. We just want to have a discussion peacefully.

Attached: 1539114952085m.jpg (1024x710, 71K)

So how does a person get off an addictive drug?
According to you, they would have no control of their impulses.

Are there actually people who are unable to think with language? Or people unable to imagine a picture or something in their mind? WTF?
This is the most basic thing ANY human being can do. It's literally one of the main things that make us more than mere animals.

Ok but first you tell me how you got all those frikin zeros.

That's not what I am saying. An addict fights and prevails over their addiction by exercising free will. A person without free will would be slave to their impulses.

Now you understand why, when a black man is confronted by police, he will inevitably whip out his gun even though there is no way that could possibly end well for him, even if he somehow managed to kill all police on site. There is no thought process going on, only reaction to external stimulus.

I know what consensus cracking is, CIAbro. You spooks might think its common parlance, but it isn't. Your posts stick out like a sore thumb. Not just due to vocabulary, the style, the way spooks reply to each other etc.

Its just so obvious I hope you're minimum wage.

dank

just like that bby ;)

why are NPCs so mad about this meme?

>Do you want to know why the NPC meme hits them so hard?
they have inferiority complex. Therefore anything that even remotely puts them under someone is making them mad

Didn't say I was. I know I'm not a fucking zombie though.

And your job description makes you believe Jow Forums is a real national security threat?

At least you're here to shill. You're a great hero like WW1 soldiers. Try not to get PTSD from posting here.

Attached: merchanthollywood.jpg (1200x861, 149K)

>10. NPCs tend to be tribal, both emotionally and intellectually.
Not triabal in the sense of acting in the interest of their in-group. Rather, they follow what they are told by the media and figures of authority.

shills are always be definition at least a few months behind the curve and that’s why they always stand out like a sore thumb.

Your opposition validates me. I appreciate you very much.

The palpable fear your ilk has over this meme skyrocketed its popularity.

fat people should definitely be gassed

lmao, that's actually way more interesting explanation than what I thought maybe I'm NPC, cause I didn't come up with this

not only that, i dont understand why they haven't realized it's even easier to detect them when "multiple people" parrot the exact same line verbatim

>sicking them on an enemy
ljnk, faggot?

Don't care either way, just trying to prevent a bunch of Jow Forums tards from killing themselves over a meme.

Is the whole NPC thing a good argument in favor of some people having free will and others not? Maybe some sort of pre-determinism? But that would mean that God separated us into two groups, pre-determed and non. Are the nons (PCs) supposed to guide the NPCs so that they can live their pre-determined lives? Or would them having pre-determined lives be separate of the people living with free will?

you can but first you need to take a very deep dive into yourself to ensure that you understand your own motives clearly, as they will seep in to your program. In short you have to first become the program in order to accurately transmit it. Errors are undesirable in such an endeavour.

I’ve noticed that leftists get extremely butthurt by the NPC meme on social media, and even other leftists on Jow Forums get assblasted about it. Something about it really strikes a nerve.

Also I’ve noticed an ironic trend in the left towards dogmatic ideology. For example they believe that open borders is an unquestionable virtue, even when logic and data shows it’s a detriment to the host nation. Not exactly logical or reasonable.

it’s not random at all

are there any images of the NPC wojak looking scared?

No. We (as in christians) don't throw pearls before pigs.

Always two there are, user.

Attached: RuleofTwo.jpg (1875x2849, 1.28M)

It's a categorical imperative. Many of them are fully aware of how detrimental it is, but they consider it to be non-optional. Sort of like how people who support gun ownership rights are fine with the possibility of a mass shooting as a result of guns being everywhere. Sacrifices have to be made.

They think they're special snowflakes when they're all the same

Reposting my post from other thread. Anyone remember how media praised Comey, and the liberals would say "Comey has years of experience as FBI director, his opinion cannot be challenged!" then next week the media told the liberal NPC's that comey was bad, and they did a 180. This occured several times, confusing the NPC's programming.

>Proof that supports the NPC meme. Liberals are programmed, they don't actually have any objective beliefs!

>The Signal towers (aka colbert, media etc) flip flopped the signals too many times in regards of what NPC's should think about Comey (Comey Good / Comey Bad!), confusing the liberal brains, have a look.

we expect more from you, shills!

If anyone out there is interested, check out this lady's series on NPCs. I find it really insightful

It describes how some people’s free will has been usurped.

And yet here we are. A shitty forced meme that's BTFOing retards left and right.

how do I know if im an npc?

if i have an inner voice am i in the clear?

People don’t believe that mass killings only happen because a fun was available.

>No john, ur the shills.

Here was the attempt to push this shit on /v/.

if there's a lil man in my head watching/talking, what's inside HIS head? What if my inner monologuer is just an npc regurgitating what it was acclimated to say?

Attached: 1532825012665.png (265x238, 56K)

So the liberal either thinks of himself as better than the farmer, thus sitting in the box, or he doesn't, thus an NPC. You can't play both OP, you've contradicted yourself.

Exactly what I'm expecting to see

Depersonalization is the first step to making people think it's okay to commit violence against others and posters in these threads will be continually pushed towards that conclusion.

Since there's no actual defining traits of an NPC, literally anyone can be an NPC, people end up calling others NPC's for disagreeing, in much the same way they call someone a shill. You can already see that in these threads. Then, since it's okay to be violent to NPC's - they aren't human after all, you now have a cadre of psychopaths willing to commit violence to 'fix' society of the 'npc threat'.

Ironically the posters in these threads are being programmed like the NPC's they think everyone else is.

This idea was probably helped by the fembots from the TV series "the six million dollar man"

Attached: serveimage(126).jpg (618x469, 39K)

Like Clever Hans, they look to their master for cues on what the "correct" answer is.

They have no comprehension. No brain activity other than an overwhelming desire to please.

Interesting isn’t it.

I know that, but a completely disarmed populace would result in fewer mass-shootings. But some things are worth the risk. Leftists view mass immigration and diversity the same way, though in their case they don't even really feel that they have a choice in the matter. To not be in favour of open borders would be an act of ultimate, unthinkable evil.

The fact that people are so fucking anal pained over this meme just makes it even more enjoyable for me. Both with SJW NPCs and Jow Forums NPCs

Attached: fygjidtu.png (720x883, 199K)

Any violence against NPCs will invariably be in self-defense. NPCs tend to very hostile when challenged on their programming and don't behave rationally. NPCs also don't fight for causes unless scripted to do so. They treat revolutions like a spectator sport and side with the winner.

>NPCs also don't fight for causes unless scripted to do so.
Meant to say, "conscripted to do so."

A.k.a. the Streisand effect.

Attached: serveimage(121).jpg (300x225, 86K)

You should do a poo in your pants and see if you enjoy it or not.

Attached: cat-stare.jpg (750x924, 106K)

They also live in separate universes essentially. Millions of leftists still believe that Trump is a Russian agent and Kavanaugh is a rapist, and they state it master-of-factlybon their late night comedy shows and social media posts. Kinda weird how we’re essentially reaching divergent realities as leftists keep banning dissenting opinions from their media circles.
