There are 3 parables in this chapter and it would seem he was referring to the last one, but what if he was referring to the first? I'll explain.

Matthew 25 New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
The Parable of the Bags of Gold
14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
24 “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
>And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
He's thanking all the Catholics and Christians who reached out to support him while he was in the lowest point of his life
>GET READY. IT'S HAPPENING!
The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
finally a good thread and look at how OP is getting abused
this fucking board man
ok, i meant to say what if it was about the 2nd parable. it was this verse that changed everything.
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
What a fucking dick!
>finally a good thread
Do you even know where you're at presently?
Matthew 25:41 Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'
"you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest."
WTF is this? First of all, why is Jesus suggesting we give our money to the bankers. And Secondly, was this an open sign to his new banker friends about his future on the court? Is it possible?
>1 post by this absolute nigger
hmmmmmm
To Sum it Up
>Kavanaugh referred to a chapter of the Bible that says give your money to the Bankers. He does say at the reference of Matt. 25 He "will serve the least among us," which is also mentioned in that same chapter, but... what if. And why is Jesus saying to give your money to the bankers to make interest?
Yeah I didn't think anyone would be in this thread so fast and I had time... pol, vicious as always, wouldn't have it any other way lulz
The point isn't that you should keep your money with bankers. It's a parable. The point is that you should do the best you can with what has been given to you in the sense of "to whom much is given, much will be expected."
>I'll explain
>post a video link from his fagtube channel
Maybe bankers were different back then? I mean, it's not like they could depreciate gold like fiat, so any interest would be genuine.
It was the money changers Jesus referred to as "thieves".
fuck that, if you have something to say you fucking post it, not I'll post something later, just keep refreshing anons, it'll be there, I swear
>Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
>28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
This is from the King James version and why you have to be careful with the new versions. That bags of gold and bankers thing had me wondering since they did not use bags of gold and the were no fucking bankers back then.
i get the point, but Christ could have used any words or examples to make that point, but He chose that one. Why recommend giving your money to the bankers? It's weirding me out
alright, post a video of his speech from a different source.

Thanks user
ITT: Christian's who've never read their own bible
This. Anybody using new versions and not the KJV or older is a brainlet
He didnt dumbass you're reading a new (wrong) translation made for brainlets see
>Wise virgins
Whores.
First of all because he's talking with Jews, and it's well known that Jews love banking. You have to know your audience.
Second, it's not a parable about banking or personal finance or anything to do with money anymore than the parable of the sower or the parable of the vinyard are about farming. The point of the parable is that we should be productive with the things that God has entrusted to us. In the parable the master entrusts his money to his servant to be productive with it. Even if the servant was not very enterprising, he could have lent out the money to usurers, who would have given back interest on the money, without requiring any work on the part of the servant. In this context, usury represents doing the bare minimum.
Too many words. Explain better.
Because the gospels are disinformation published after the death of christ whoever he actually was if he even existed.
I've actually read the entire thing, it's just been a while and I'm getting back in the game
is that sarcasm?
It's not really clear what your point is. A talent is a large measure of gold. Supposedly the talent here is about 130 lbs. of gold. So you're perhaps right on the technicality that such a large amount of gold would not likely be carried in a single bag, but to say that "they did not use bags of gold" is ridiculous. Second, the master suggests giving money to the "exchangers" so that he can collect usury. What is someone who keeps others money and lends it out for usury other than a banker?
Usery is a sin. Mathew is a sinners book. Fucking sinful kikes.
Really great insight. Articulately said. Thanks senpai.
(((Banker)))
What kind of broad knows anything before having actually experienced it?
A broad that goes out with a lamp and container of oil has been out before. They've been out fooling around. The ones that weren't prepared are innocent of nightly endeavors.
OC
It is a story to convey the idea that believers should spread the good news to others
He meant he will live his life as the guy who gave the hungry man food and the naked man clothing
its not about money
the gold is the gifts from God we each receive
YOU need to make an abundance with the gift or your not good
And he gave the thirsty man a beer
if reading the KVJ is too difficult, the NASB uses the same source texts as the KJV.
i recommend using Blue Letter Bible. it has a parallel Bible feature that lets you compare two different translations.
OP has missed the point of both the parable and Kavanaugh's citation of it. It is not telling us to give money to money changers (bankers.) it was a condemnation of the servant be a lazy, niggardly piece of shit with the investment that his master gave him.
trying and failing is better than not trying at all. we all have talents. it's up to us to use them for good, not just sit on them.
The first two servants had faith. They took a chance with what was entrusted to them knowing that failure could end in consequence. The other servant was lazy and a coward. He returned the soiled investment neither taking advantage of it for himself nor acting in a manner that served his lord.
No problem, my child.
What if your gift is the sly ability to con someone outta their money?
based and redpilled
and the black man high-security shelter and naked girls groping
That's funny, the bankers are barely giving me any interest... Thanks Obama.
the servant basically insulted the master "reaping where thou hast not sown". usury was a death sentence, the master was saying if the servant had such contempt for him he should have had the master put to death.
This is a parable, and is not intended as literally promoting usury. Compare to the parable of the unjust steward. There the steward's behavior is helped up as a model in a certain respect, but Christ also calls him unjust (in the Vulgate a "steward of iniquity"). In the parable of the talents, it shouldn't be assumed that Christ is necessarily promoting usury beyond its function in the parable.
It doesn't say they went out with their lamps. It says that they waited at home with their lamps. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you should have spare oil for your lamp in case you run out. In this culture, men and women would be espoused, and then the man would come at an uncertain time to collect his wife (or wives in this case). In this case, the women are waiting with their lamps for the bridegroom to collect them.
fucking top kek
Op was niggardly, so we treated him as such.
Where exactly do you get the idea that usury was a death sentence? Assuming this is a Jewish context, the Mosaic law never prescribes the death penalty for usury, and Deuteronomy even permits collecting usury from foreigners. Even supposing what you said is true, that usury carried the death penalty, why would the master get the death penalty for what his servant did with his money?
The point is to use whatever skills or talents you are given. Doubling 2 to 4 or 5 to 10 is just as good as 1 to 2. If you are completely fucking useless and can't figure out how to do anything you should find someone else to help you. If you can't even fucking do that and you just lounge around slapping your dick all day, then fuck off.
It was a talent of gold too, that was like 36kg. Talking a modern value of ~$1.4m
So one servant was entrusted with $14m and doubled it to $28
Another $2.8m and doubled it to $5.6m
And the other guy just buried it and did fucking nothing with it. Held onto something insanely valuable, didn't even spread it around, didn't even try. Didn't entrust it to someone else to increase.
It's like giving a farmer a bag of seed, coming back next year and him saying "look, i kept that bag of seed you gave me safe" instead of planting it.... you fucking wanted him to plant it. Even if the crop failed entirely it would have been worth the effort. Doing nothing is worse than failure.
Heh, checked. And I made that meme.
>13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
Sounds like a lesson in prepping for a happening.
