Went to a high school right next to a huge community of them. Very nice and family oriented people. Stick to their own, once they go on their mission they’re not the same person anymore. Total brainwashing. I’m not friends with a lot of my high school buddies anymore because I’m not Mormon. No big blowup, they were just different after they got back and we quickly drifted apart.
They’re very nice though. Friendly as hell, care deeply about their community. Can’t fault them for that.

A lot of Mormons I've met are pretty pushy about getting you into their religion. They believe their religion is the true church and they show it noticeably at times.
This doesn't apply to all Mormons though, most Mormons are some of the nicest and most generous people you'll ever meet, and they'll do anything to help you if you ask. It's just the annoying ones stand out.
I'd say for the annoying ones, soft condescension is a good way to describe how they will treat you if you aren't perfect.

I know a Mormon who believed in what you said, and he even told me himself it is blasphemy thus not to repeat it.

About a year ago I was close to joining. I had even reached out to missionaries and done alot of research. Somehow I grew out of it. As far as I understood, they believe they can become Gods if they just live good enough. That sounds pretty spooky if it's the wrong kind of Christianity desu - elevating yourself to a potential God/reducing God to a glorified, rewarded human being. If I were American I probably would have converted and gone to Utah - that state looks sick comfy.

I don’t know what exactly happens there but I can say for a fact that all of my Mormon friends changed drastically when they got back from their mission. Beforehand they were just normal kids that went to a different church than me (I’m a catholic). When they got back they were totally different, they basically had become their fathers. Interested mostly in settling down with a Mormon girl, getting married, being Mormon, doing Mormon things. As a Catholic I obviously wasn’t interested in doing Mormon things. As a kid I wasn’t interested in settling down and getting married. I was, what, 18-20 years old when this was all going down. So we drifted apart. Different interests etc. By the last few I didn’t even bother trying to keep in contact when they got back. I knew better, and I was right because they didn’t reach out to me either. I don’t bare any ill will towards them for this though, i think more people should stick to their own.
Writing this out now I’m thinking maybe they had the right idea, I definitely wasted the last decade or so of my life being a piece of shit and last I heard most of my old buddies are kicking ass and taking names.

Obviously not 100% of them do it, I’m just speaking my personal experience growing up with Mormons.
