One of the biggest factor in war is your allies and when literally the entire world is against you this prevents trading of goods and leaves your back completely exposed. the American people also would likely be against war and would even decide to join the other nations.

If America would become bad, there would be a lot of criticism, and rebellion against the government soon after. They would have to become authoritarian country, and big federations don't like dictatorship. People would lose their illusion of freedom, and what most important comfort, so there would be civil wars. This is theory.

In practice there is Russia as a big federation, but Russia on the other hand is rather empty inside. It is generally few bigger cities, and villages without any regulations.

So America as evil (read authoritarian) would do harm the world for few years, and then collapse under its own weight.

Some of you tho, think that USA is already evil. Again, what is evil or bad? America does a lot ot harm but have a good propaganda, provides comfort for majority, like basic goods and a bit more and illusion of freedom.

Yes. Don't even need to have a war, we could just detonate all our nukes around the world and cause global world ending damage and fallout. I believe it'd cause a nuclear winter due to the amount of smoke and ashes that all the cities would put in the air.

If you mean "In a capacity where America survives" then it's a solid maybe, if we managed to take North and South America (Which would be extremely easy without other countries getting involved) then we'd have a massive ocean barrier between us and the rest of the world to stage war from. We could probably take Africa with ease, but that'd trigger the first major war, with China, which we could win, but then we'd be on Russia's door, and Russia would see we were on world conquest and put us in an effective stalemate with all their nukes at the ready. Assuming they have maintained nukes and it's not decayed/stolen fuel, it'd be the effective end of the conquest. We could take Europe easily, but Russia would probably just hit the button instead of letting us flank them.
