The entire fleet of F-35 fighter jets has been grounded to inspect the aircraft for suspected faulty fuel tubes, the US military said. If you work in engineering you know there is certain jobs/projects that you flood with hours. You can't bill hours to "making sure the engineers dont get laid off and go work for a machine shop".
Now if your a community organizer or grievance studies major you may not see the problem with laying off a ton of spaceflight/weapons/eccm engineers. If your an engineering manager you know it'll take 10 fucking years and 10 people will wash out before you find someone to hopefully replace a single 50 year old engineer.
