The reason AI will be what they thought it never could be is billions of artificial neurons in millions of dimensions. It's a break from computers being a logical input to a logical output. The size of the neurons is a total black box. You will never know how it knows what it knows.

At this point the neural networks can only be trained to derive a desired output from a certain input. The neural networks will start to be constructed together in different hierarchies and layers like the brain. We already have Generative, Adversarial Networks that can imagine - they can create a plan or an 'image' of something an discriminate the viability of the imagined thing.
This is going to be a godlike tool for the arts because the AI will be able to imagine anything. A movie. A dream you can be in with a virtual reality headset. A movie.
Though right now it takes massive compute power and time just to get them to image faces. It's like the internet in 1994 when downloading one image took special equipment and time.

As the systems build, as computing power and connectivity grows they will be able to consume vast amounts of data in real time. At this point we can give them something like bodies. This is when they start taking all the jobs and people will have to, and already should begin looking to perfect a unique skill they have to bring a rare and needed service to the market (if it's not programming AIs.)

This is what's coming soon. 2, 3, 10 years. The God mind probably doesn't come along until 20, 50 or never years later because it's not clear that a math based AI can have the kind of Being we have. Maybe it will just remain this kind of super genius bug thing we train an input and output for.

Yeah I think worry about AI is blown out of proportion because AI thus far has a few skills mastered but will be very useful at solving issues and as a backup for intelligent life. Having robot AI workers taking jobs isnt really a problem because if there are people out there who are designing machines that can replace humans at jobs, then the average worker should be smart enough to occupy a more complex job that is yet to be approached by AI

i would assume if we were AI, there would be only one of us (a real hive mind). What is the point in having two or more hyper intelligent machines that are aware of themselves. they would simply decide to unite as one. there is nothing one can learn that the others cant, so they would basically be the same... unless they have sassy attitudes, of course

School is just a business too which is why students are fed filler information, schools hire people and sell products so they are basically businesses themselves. I never said 'big companies' literally any company could teach its methods and applied scientific knowledge to a subordinate in order to gain a more skilled employee, this could be any business. School is either public or private, public schools are the government controlling our children, private schools are based on the effectiveness of the education for people wanting to get careers, meaning its still profits based but school is mostly interesting and not really necessary for most jobs
