You need a bug zapper user. I have one on the back patio and while it is white trash as fuck, it also kills every mosquito on the patio leaving me zika, malaria, West Nile, and itch free. It’s also fun to watch the insect holocaust

I hate to tell you though they are not anything new, these giant asian mosquitos do exist.
Last year when we had a lot of flooding around my mom's house on a river there were very large mosquitos compared to the regular egyptian ones. I believe my mom said they were asian tiger mosquitos or something. I thought they were dear flies at first and sound like a fucking drone flying by your ear.

They are probably a good half inch to maybe even 3/4" long.
I don't remember them itching as bad normal mosquitoes though, just a surprising poke from a needle feeling that leaves those big raised bumps.

Huge mosquitoes do exist, used to see them all the time when my house didn't have screens and we'd leave every window and door open during summer. Have never been bitten one because they're so fucking easy to see and hit. They're really fucking slow as well. They're nothing to worry about.
